| Hi, I have a KRT2 radio connected to a Kobo Aura 2 running LK8000. I find it much easier to control the radio via the Kobo because it is faster and easier to see than the radio. I have a list of the most used frequencies stored in the KRT2 but switching is slow and the display hard to read. I have seen that there is a "File" option when selecting frequencies within the radio interface but it appears to be empty at present. Is there a spec for creating this file somewhere in the documentation? |

The Radio Fequencies can be in CUP Files, OpenAIP Files for the waypoints or in the Airspace files (Open Airspace or OpenAIP)
For the Android devices these files can be downloaded an installed by LKMaps.
sources are

https://www.openflightmaps.org/
and the national soaring organisations.
For LK Maps we are using all of these sources and copy the data in a seperate repository.

For Kobo the files must be copied manually into the appropiate directories.

Thanks, I tried editing an airfield CUP file which already contained the frequency field (3 commas from the end). The airfields were still found in my modified file but the glider frequencies I entered were not. The code appears to filter initially on distance from the current position in the airfield or waypoint CUP file. I left the lat and long fields blank.
In the UK we have around 12 gliding frequencies and it would be nice not to have to remember them and enter manually on LK8000. Using the "MEM" function and turning the rotary knob on the KRT2 is very slow and hard to see in sunlight.
Perhaps this is really a feature request? |

| The gliding frequencies I wish to select are available for the whole of the UK. That is why I did not enter a lat and long in the file I edited. To get access to the frequencies via the LK8000 radio interface it looks like I have to add them to every piece of airspace and airport data. Thanks for the info, I don't think it's what I'm trying to achieve, |

Recently 10 new air-to-air frequencies have been added in Germany (see: NfL_1-1935-20).

The strangely drawn regions are displayed on the map according the color of airspace F. If I disable them, the regions are still visible by the gray "disabled airspace" line.
In this way, too many distracting lines appear on the map. Therefore my request to make a "cloak option" that can hide a layer but keeps the information available. |

Okay, that means going back to a paper map to determine which region you're flying in and then looking for a corresponding frequency in the radio memory.
I'm sorry, but that's not really the solution I expected from LK8000. |

How to connect a Notepad input to a region (airspace).
I went through the manuals v3 and 7.1 but couldn't find anything.
Another solution, but not my preference, is to create one or more waypoints within a region and add the frequencies to it. Better: the oracle or aircraft position (Multiselect elements) also displays the A2A region and frequencies. |
