I would like to show data from the glider flarm in LK8000. Being a club glider, I only have access to the RS232 port, not the RJ45.
Is it possible to use a USB-RS232 adapter cable to connect an android phone with USB OTG to a flarm RS232 port?
If not, shall I use a RS232 to bluetooth adapter instead? |

it's simpler to use bluetooth Adapter, most android device won't charge when an otg device is connected. |

Thank you, but since I don't need to charge the device (it is a Yotaphone2 whose battery lasts a full day), I'd prefer to use a simple cable since the bluetooth adapter AFAIK is bigger and requires an external power source.
So, if I get a cable like this one: https://www.amazon.it/dp/B002F2BE7O , how do I set LK8000 to read the flarm data?

Oh damn, I have already ordered that cable but it has a Prolific pl2303ra chipset, I guess it will not work?
What about this other one https://www.amazon.it/dp/B07MYYCMJT , with a FTDI FT232RL chipset, is it OK?

It works! I can get flarm data, GPS, baro altitude, and download IGC logs. Thank you Bruno for the support.
