CoTaCo Version 3.0 is now available on the webpage : https://condorutill.pagesperso-orange.fr/index.html#CoTaCo
Please do not use Google Drive links anymore
If you have already installed V3RC1, no need to download it again as nothing has been changed.
Version 3.1 will feature AATs for LK8000 and some minor improvements for XCSoar, it will be available in the coming weeks.
If you have suggestions, don't wait ! |

A bug has been detected:
if you want to convert a flight plan for LK8000, CoTaCo crashes if it finds an empty "description" field in the .cup file (this is the case for the files stored by Condor in the DOCUMENTS\Condor\Turnpoint folder).
The corrected version (V3.0.1) has been put online.
If you are not using LK8000 or XCSoar with the -chkwp option, you can continue to use V3.0.0
Sorry for the inconvenience |

Hi Bre901,
Great work in including AAT tasks. I just looked at the latest version, and perhaps there is one small change that could be made.
In LK8000 the AAT could be set to ON in the task edit page of LK8000 by changing the line:-
<lk-task type="Default"> to <lk-task type="AAT">
This would then turn on the AAT on the task settings automatically.
All the very best,
John in Sunny Carnarvon - Western Australia |

It does this if the AAT mode is activated in CoTaCo (see the manual)
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<lk-task type="AAT" >
<options auto-advance="true" length="90.00" >
<rules>
<finish fai-height="false" min-height="0" />
<start max-height="0" max-height-margin="0" max-speed="0" max-speed-margin="0" height-ref="AGL" />
</rules>
</options>
<taskpoints>

Ah ha, Bre901,
The old "Read the Manual" trick. I did that and changed the AAT ini setting to AAT=1!
Would it be worth a small modification to your program such as if the AAT Task Time was set to zero, it was treated as a non-AAT task?
It appears that the ini file needs to be edited prior to use if the user wants to process a non-AAT task next time. Have I misinterpreted the need to do that that?
I have worked around it with a little VBA pre-script to ask if the task is an AAT and write the CoTaCO.ini to suit. My post-CaToCa script then renames the Default-AAT.lkt back to Default.lkt so I don't have to manually load the Default-AAT.lkt file when LK8000 is run.
I must say the CaToCa program is really helpful, as some Condor 2 races publish the task only a few minutes before the race starts. Being able to quickly convert the Condor task to LK8000 in a few seconds is a fantastic boon!

I did actually program something even simpler, and it is even written in the ... manual :
quote: ... activate AAT in the CoTaCo.ini file, it is then possible to de-activate temporarily that mode by clicking [Cancel] in the AAT time popup window

No, but the above mentioned trick does the job as well

If you are using a .bat script, no need to edit the .ini file, leave AAT=0 in the .ini file and, if needed, just start CoTaCo with the -aat option from the script file.

Version 3.2 is now available on the webpage : https://condorutill.pagesperso-orange.fr/index.html#CoTaCo
New functionalities : - Autoload mode if the Condor flightplan is specified in the .ini file - Option to wait for the current flightplan to be updated, allowing to start CoTaCo from a batch script before Condor starts - Optional AAT auto-detect - Silent mode - Workaround a LK8000 problem : rename duplicate TP names (usually happens with multiple "NewTP" turnpoints)
Many thanks again to all the beta-testers !
As this version fixes some minor bugs and features an updated manual, updating is recommended, even if you don't need the new functionalities |
