There's a problem: I can't install v7.0 on my Medion S3747.

Having downloaded PNA-install_7.0.zip on 07 April 2019, I unzipped it onto a micro-SD card in my Medion S3747 and added the current UK airspace file plus the latest BGA TP file and uk_landouts.dat and .txt files. All is apparently good,

But when I attempt to start LK8000 7.0 I just get an error display:

Cannot find 'LK8000-PNA' (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all the required libraries are available.

The LK8000 directory is where it should be, in the SD card root directory and the shell.ini file contains
\SDMMC\LK8000\LK8000-PNA.EXE
as expected. As the unzipped the executable was called LK8000-PNA.exe,
I tried renaming it to LK8000-PNA.EXE but this made no difference.

So, what is missing and where can I find it?

Until just now I've been running v 5.0a without any problems, so I'll go back to it until I know what the fix is.

My own note! However, it doesn't help for two reasons,

(a) that had already been done because 5.0a and earlier versions needed it. Probably all LK8000 versions need this because its visible function is to replace the Medion start menu with a Windows Explorer-like program that lets you find the LK8000 program on the SD card and start it. Replacing the Medion's original start menu is needed because it only gives you the choice of starting one of two built-in navigation programs: one for driving and the other for walkers.

In version 5.0a and earlier the ZIP file includes cecmd2.exe in the LK8000/_System/_CEUtilities directory

(b) there is no equivalent of cecmd2.exe in the 7.0 PNA distribution and indeed the whole LK8000/_System/_CEUtilities direction is not included in the v7.0 ZIP file.

So, is it possible that cecmd2.exe loads one or more libraries before forking LK8000 but that these library names have changed?

Yes. The PNA version of that starts OK and seems to be working well with my usual UK map, airspace and turnpoints,

I installed v6.0b from the FULL ZIPfile onto a micro-SD card that only contained a copy of shell.ini - not reformatted, but with root emptied of everything except shell.ini The Medion's main memory has exactly the same additional software, i.e. a copy of cecmd2.exe renamed to MENU.exe, as I use to load 5.0a.

I had the same issue on a Mio M400.

I copied the LK8000 folder of version 6.0b to the SD Card and then copied the contents of version 7 to that LK8000 folder.

This solves the problem.
