I want to update from v6.1R to v7.0 without loosing any of my customisation settings.
The LK8000 web site used to have separate versions for updating and for full install, but not any more.
Which files do I need to overwrite to update without losing my customisation? Are the .exe files still fully compatible with all the other files from V6? |

If you make a backup before,
I see no problem in updating your version, copy the new over your old version. Your setting should remain.
If not you can restore the _Configuration directory from your backup.

Thanks.
I assume you mean copy LK8000-PC.exe or LK8000-PNA.exe only over the old versions and not all the other files |

| Hm! Updating used to be so simple, there was an update file that did everything.It needed to be, I remember we almost used every letter of the alphabet updating one version. Is that no longer possible? |

Dave,
There is no more difference in update and new installation. For Kobo an Android the installer does the job.
For PNA, PC you can copy it over the old installaltion. (It is allways a good idea to make a backup first so that you can step back, just in case of)
_Language and _System may contain files needed by the new version, all other directories are empty, contain demo data or new/changed Polar files.

Updating from v6.1r
