I suppose this is related to coastal boundary approximation.
I do not have better data for this. You can try :
1) unzip your LKM file
Replace the coast_area.shp with something better .. or ever remove it.

Hello
I just dowloaded LKMAPS vre 1.0.2.0 and dont give me the options to create a file with 30m resolution, the minimal resolution that showme is 90m.
I have maps created with early version ( dont remember which one) with 30m resolution

There is a way to dawload an early version??

The boundary area is

-27,8 - -29,5 S
-67,1 - -68,1 W

Thanks
Dalmiro

Create your own maps at your preffered resolution with the free QGIS program. I am from South Africa, hence I preffer QGIS to you could use any similar program.

I have downloaded it using the link in the first message. The version is 1.0.0.2 and it doesn't ask for update. Please let me know how can I update it?

I can't seem to get even a small 250km square of topology to work with africa-latest.osm.pbf, which I desperately need for Namibia.

I can't get the latest version 1.0.6 either. I'm stuck on 1.0.2. How can I update to the latest working version????

HELP!!!!!!

Cheers

Thanks Tony,

What does the SRTM 30 do?

I can't get offline topology to work even for a small area of Namibia. Do you have any suggestions??

Cheers
John

What an absolute IDIOT I am. I was using the whole of Africa osm.pbf file instead of namibia-latest.osm.pbf. There's a huge differencxe in file size!

Now I can get topology I need processed extremely quickly.

Sorry to have been a pest!

The strm file was not downloaded successfully and the program stopped running. Stop the program, delete the last part of the downloaded file, and restart the program to continue working. It is more effective to plan to use other tools to download the strm directory of LKMAPS. Does the program use the strm server address?

Greetings! I have migrated to a new laptop and misplaced my LKMaps Desktop application...and I can't seem to find a working link to download it again.

Is LKMaps Desktop still available somewhere?

I use both XC Soar and LK8000.
I made a map of New Zealand in LKMaps (V1.0.2.00) with 90meters terrain and when I compare the maps in both programs, XCSoar showing much more details.
I would really like LK8000 also would have such detailed map.

In XCSoar I just downloaded the map which already was available in map database *NZL_SOUTHISLAND_HighRes. Dont know the resolution of this.

I have played around with all settings, shading and so on. Both maps are set to Mountainous with similar terrain contrast and brightness

hard eo compare pictures with different zoom levels and different topology line settings. But looks like the water level is wrong for the LK map.
