KOBO, hangs on boot

I have the same problem as already noted by HG-Argo some days ago.
I have to disconnect the TX-line _from_ GPS to make the KOBO boot. Once up the TX-line is reconnected and everything works fine.
SW 5.3U
HW KOBO touch 2.0 N587
GlobalTop PA6H GPS on seriell line

Yes, that's right. But, against the shadow of the cabin would be a very good contrast.
On the other hand, why it should not be used as a supplement at night?

You do not have to be illuminated during flight. Only when there is simulation. If you want to retrieve data. Or want to upload data or edit route forward. Or sit in the back row and ill see the screen. Or evening on the way home in the car I want to watch an entry. Solved?

I think they are good reasons to have backlight if available, also considering the use in car or trekking mode .
Or for testing indoor, etc.
This said, I dont have a Kobo Glo so I ask if it is not possible to activate backlight at startup, already, out of LK.

Unfortunately you can not LK8000 startup. it is possible only ebook reader mode. That is why I asked. It would be very good this function.

Hi
During this and last year, I've been using LK 8000 in Kobo Mini and kobo Touch.
The big problem that I cannot control is the change of screens without demanding.
About a month ago, I brought a Falke from Germany to Portugal by air.
In any leg, no matter if it was cold or warn, sunny or cloudy, screens changed continuously, independently of the fact that I have multipages switched off.
I don't know how to control it, but it is annoying the change of page without my request.

This problem has been solved by the use of a protection on the borders.
Checked in flight the problem disappeared on 3 out of 3 devices having the same problem.

Hi
It makes sense.
Sorry for the off topic, but is here a topic where the possible solutions for protection is detailed?
