"Uncomfortable" >this is LK8000 look and feel, if you dont like, you can try XCSoar or before you should try PORTRAIT mode!!! You need to rotate the screen of your device. I dont know how this is working with your chinese PNA. Look for mortscript or rotate.exd
And TskArr not displayed." >if you didnt start the task the task arrival will show nothing.

LK8000 I like more than XcSoar. I would use it in portrait mode. But my PNA can not do it. I asked Paolo to add screen rotation feature in program settings, but certainly it is very difficult. TskArr not visible only in landscape mode when you switch to IBOX it will be visible. |

No this cant be true. Read the manual please. i think, before you didnt fly over the start gate this info is "---"
"I would use it in portrait mode. But my PNA can not do it" Sure your PNA can do it, all you have to do is search for mortscript (rotate commando) or a working rotate.exe for windows CE.

In the first picture, old IBOX with overlays, the reason why I changed v2.0. Screen is cluttered with informations, map is invisible. Last picture, LK mode, is much better. LK will not show arrival altitudes (even tsk arrival) when the missing altitude is over 3000m. It is written in the documentation. Reason: totally inaccurate to show -7654m . XCsoar is showing values in any case, that's not a problem of LK, and this is why I suggest not to use IBOX mode.
Ibox mode will be removed, sooner or later. Get used to LK mode or go using xcsoar 6.0. |

I understand I have no choice, have to get used to. This navigator I've sold. Going to buy a device with 7" and a resolution of 800x480, there must be all the better.
When will the version with working autozoom and route optimization? |

Why do you say that AutoZoom does not work? It has some issues for sure but it is really usable in 2.0. |

I checked autozoom in simulation and in flight. Does not work. At 1.22 runs. In the 2.0 does not work. |

Just checked on sim PC, PG mode and Glider mode, autozoom working as usual. Changing zoom manually will disable autozoom also. |

I am resuming this thread, because I feel we do need to abandon IBOX mode very soon. Portrait mode in LK8000 is now perfectly usable. Landscape is the original LK look. Ibox is practically unused by all the people that I know. Most of them do not even know what Ibox mode is, because they have never used it.
Removing ibox mode will make the software faster, smaller in size, and it makes another step in the direction of getting rid of microsoft window API (libraries for windowing). All of my work around LK interface in the past 2 years has been done without using Windows. It was not easy, nor comfortable. Since in the future we might be compiling LK on other platforms, my idea is to clean up the code while we progress on it, removing step by step old stuff and changing it with non-platform dependent things. All iboxes are windows! Also all menu buttons are windows, right now. For a start, removing iboxes would be a good step forward.
