I don't have any desktop buttons created by LK. Long time ago it was found that you could put buttons there, but they didn't survive a re-set. So I use either Start-Programs-Windows Explorer, or now I can use your new File Manager.

If you set up the LK8000 to HP31x device, it creates icons on the desktop every time you run LK8000.

Can you check on runtime.log what is the LK8000's path?

I've kept going back to this, and eureka, now got it working. For some historical reason, that I can't remember, the 3 LK8000 .dll files were in the root, not within the LK8000 folder, so I've moved them. Secondly I've changed the Command lines to:
Command = \SDMMC\LK8000\LK8000-PNA.exe
Command = \SDMMC\LK8000\LK8000SIM-PNA.exe
putting the "-" in seems to have made them work.

I don't really have a question related to the unlock which works great. I don't know how it happened but the time on my HP314 is wrong and there is no way I can or are allowed to change it. I searched some forums where I found other people with the same problem only no real solution. Anybody?

Thanks, it worked.

Try this:

1 - Reset HP310 with the pen stylus
2 - Open LK8000, go to System Setup > 22 System: Device Model: HP31x and Use GPS Time: ON, > 9 Units : UTC Offset: (confirm that you have the right one)
3 - Wait for GPS Fix, exit LK8000 when you get it.

Or

Use iGo8 to fix the time! :)

If you want "16:41:38" instead of "4:41:38 PM" change "Format = h':'mm':'ss tt" to "Format = H':'mm':'ss" in the mainpage.ini file.

The only problem, which doesn't matter, at least to me, is that if you go to car navigation from the button, you cannot set time, date. Didn't try any other settings. Works fine if you take the SD card out. I don't use the iPAQ in the car anyway, the Galileo with iGO is much easier to use, and the Galileo is useless in the glider (can't see it).

Thank you for this excellent front end ! It makes life so much easier on my 314, so I can now switch between LK8000 and iGO easily.

I just installed this great interface. Works fine with one small problem. I have two identical FLY icons and two identical Navigator icons. Only one of each of the other icons. Any idea how to get rid of the extra icons. Both FLY icons take me to the main start page for LK 8000 where you choose either fly or simulate.

When I did this unlock, we had two version of LK8000, one to fly and one to simulate. I can change that and upload a new version.
