Posted - 28/07/2021 : 21:50:11 For the Cotswold vario project I am able to connect via usb to an Android device using the Open vario driver. I can send commands from LK8000 to correctly set MacReady etc but the status reported on the LK8000 Device Configuration page does not show "Connected" as it does with other devices. I'm sending data in the form: Example: $POV,P,1018.35*39 I'm using the guide:https://www.openvario.org/doku.php?id=projects:series_00:software:nmea I've searched the code to find where the connection status is reported with no success. Could this be an error in the driver or the lack of a preamble that is required? Any guidance would be appreciated |

Posted - 30/07/2021 : 13:39:27 Thanks brunotl, I was getting confused with XCS as that shows "Connected" when a device connects. Maybe I will try a feature request. I did some testing with the latest 7.10 version of XCS and it shows "Connected, Baro" when connected to the Openvario driver through a usb device. Reporting the baro pressure source looks like a bug in the driver code in XCS. LK8000 also briefly announces "Baro" on the map page when the Openvario driver establishes communication. Sadly the MacReady commands are not accepted by XCS 7.10 but work well in LK8000......go figure! |
