Posted - 04/11/2020 : 00:54:00 After upgrading my Nokia 8 Android from 7.1n to 7.1s, airspace files no longer load or display properly. Same file worked in 7.1n and 7.01 stable.

Thanks... that solved the problem after replacing UNLTD by UNL string in airspace file. No rush on a new software version. |

Posted - 13/11/2020 : 23:53:02 you can't correct by changing setting in LK8000, you need to wait for new software version or build it yourself.
to fix your airspaces file you just need to replace UNLTD keyword by UNL. |

Posted - 13/11/2020 : 23:10:16 I still do not understand how to correct this by changing settings on LK8000. Can you clearly explain again? |

So how is this problem solved. 1) Editing all airspace files in U.S. to remover UNLTD ... or 2) accommodation in LK8000 software.

the right way to solve the problem is to ask to the guy produced this file to replace 'UNLTD' by 'UNL' which is used by AIXM specification.
but to simplify your life i've made change in LK8000 to handle the 'UNLTD' keyword...

Posted - 13/11/2020 : 07:48:39 Just to unsterstand the idea behind it. the 0MSL ceiling airspaces are still loaded and handled (e.g. in the Multiselect but not displayed on the map. This is to get AIS informations incl. Radio frequencies without cluttering the map.

Posted - 13/11/2020 : 06:59:39 Suggest to use FL999 as max. ceiling. The easiest way to solve this "problem". |

Posted - 12/11/2020 : 22:49:27 Problem found, last LK8000 hide airspaces with ceiling at 0m MSL some of your airspaces are defined with 'TOP UNLTD' and UNLTD is not a valid height nor valid altitude this value is interpreted as 0m MSL

Posted - 12/11/2020 : 07:01:14 It appears that the dropping out of some airspace (mostly restricted and military operating areas) occurs regardless of "Outside terrain" settings (either incl or excl).
Dropbox file shows reduction of airspace between Android 7.0 and 7.1s:

Here's a Dropbox link to two airspace Openair *.txt files. They load and display the restricted/military operating area airspace fine in versions 7.1n and earlier:

Also included there is a runtime.log file
BTW... haven't flown with my LXNAV S100 and LK8000 yet in my Discus 2a in the 2020 season due to the CV19 and other considerations. Preparing for the 2021 season.
Thanks, Walt |

Posted - 04/11/2020 : 09:17:58 Hi Walt, probably sorted out by the terrain filter or display mode.
What airspace format are you using? Can you provide the airspace file and runtime.log as download link?
