Everyone will be very happy to know that Bre901 over at the Condor Forum has modified his CaTaCo program to now work successfully when exporting Condor Tasks to LK8000. For the moment it is in Beta, but you can get it from here for the moemnt:-
https://www.condorsoaring.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=19754&sid=e266074e0193a40c6708d7fabff8c6ad&start=45#p170573

I am using Folder Sync on my Android phone to copy the relevant files over from my LK8000 PC installation, which I keep in a Dropbox folder.

Cheers

An update with some miscellaneous improvements:

- new command line sub-option: -aat:TIME
- choice of manual or automatic start arm, separate options for RT and AAT tasks (XCSoar & LK8000)
- support Finish Min Altitude for competitions with arrival penalties
- Finish Min Altitude and Start Max Speed accessible in the dialog box
- altitude and speed displayed in the dialog box according to unit selection
- Wait mode (Autoload=2 or -wait on the command line) now only deals with the default Condor flight plan file
- optionally create JSON files to be used on cunimb.net (from .fpl or .cup files)
- optionally convert 500m/360° sectors to FAI sectors (when writing .json & .cup files)
- optionally disable max altitudes in .cup files

Possible (but very rare) Condor blue screen workaround:
- Wait mode : an extra 4s delay added after detecting the file update, before reading it

Version 4.2.1 is available from the webpage: https://condorutill.fr/

Many thanks to the beta-tester for testing and suggestions !

Another minor update which might be interesting for SGP competitors

XCSoar & LK8000: the start maximum speed is written in the .tsk file, resp. .lkt
The data is accessible only in the CoTaCo.ini file ("Start max speed")
It will be in the GUI in a later version.

Version 4.1.2 is available from the webpage: https://condorutill.fr/

If you are happy with version 4.1 and are not interested by this feature, no need to update.

Many thanks to the beta-tester who suggested that !

Minor update (especially for VR users using the "wait" mode)

- "Suppress end message" option blocks both task rules and summary messages
- Task rules are written to file if filename is not blank, whatever the "Task Rules warnings" option
- "TP not found" message only displayed in "Verbose" mode

Version 4.1.1 is available from the webpage: https://condorutill.fr/

If you are happy with version 4.1 and are not interested by these features, no need to update.

Many thanks to the beta-tester !

Version 4.1 is available on the webpage

CoTaCo now uses either old or new (default) SeeYou formats for the converted .cup file (option only available in the .ini file).
Not very useful for most people here, I guess

plus a bug fix : CoTaCo might crash if there are many altitude limits (including window-type turnpoints) in the Condor task (don't you love those arcade tasks ...)

Bre901, you keep surprising with your great work! Congratulations.

CoTaCo now has a GUI, no more text file editing to change the setup !

V4 is available on the webpage : https://condorutill.fr/

Don't even think of asking for help about the GUI if you haven't taken a look a the corresponding section of the manual

Many many thanks to the (way too few) beta-testers

Cosmetic bug fixes for LK8000 & SeeYou (see Changelog.txt)

CoTaCo V3.4.5 is now available on the webpage : https://condorutill.fr/

CoTaCo V3.4.4 (some bug fixes, see Changelog.txt) is now available on the webpage : https://condorutill.fr/

Many thanks to the beta-testers

There is a (minor) bug that happens only when Task warnings=0 and produces garbled printouts in the command window (more rarely a crash that prevents the final message from being displayed) but the conversion and transfer are OK.

The bug is fixed, the new executable (V3.4.0.2) is available on the webpage

If you have installed V34 and always use task warnings, re-installing is not indispensable

Version 3.4 is now available on the webpage : https://www.condorutill.fr/
New functionalities :
- task related warnings (min/max altitudes, cloud penalties, regatta start)
- LK8000 : .lkt file is now encoded in UTF-8 (TP names with accents used to make the .lkt file unreadable - without an error message, though)
- LK8000 : start & finish heights now defined as AMSL (non-standard "ASL" in the .lkt file)
- XCSoar : max start height = 0 if none

Thanks again to all the beta-testers !

Bre901, are you going to support the new Race To Goal (Grand Pix) and Start Time Gates available in LK8000 Glider mode? https://github.com/LK8000/LK8000/releases/tag/7.3.1

Thanks for the information.
For the time being, I don't think there is anything similar in Condor coming soon (still waiting for AAT native support in Condor), maybe in a future release ...

Thank you for your reply! :)

Bug found : In a recent race, I have been unable to input AAT time using version 3.3

It is fixed now, version 3.3.1 is available on the webpage : http://condorutill.fr/index.php

I think the problem that Bre901 could be referring to is that we found that if the Start Point and the first (or possibly subsequent) turn points had exactly the same names, then the start point seemed to be ignored by LK8000 and it was transferred to the next turn point.

Bre901 has got around this for Condor 2 tasks by auto-renaming the turn points should they be identical. I guess it is unlikely to happen in "real life"......
