Hi, I have a KRT2 radio connected to a Kobo Aura 2 running LK8000. I find it much easier to control the radio via the Kobo because it is faster and easier to see than the radio. I have a list of the most used frequencies stored in the KRT2 but switching is slow and the display hard to read. I have seen that there is a "File" option when selecting frequencies within the radio interface but it appears to be empty at present. Is there a spec for creating this file somewhere in the documentation?

Problem is already fixed for next version.

I have attached an airspace-frequency file that can't be retrieved anymore.

In that case an error may have occurred because files like this (where the vertical dimensions are defined as zero) can no longer be retrieved with a "long click" on the screen or the "What's here?" button.

no this feature still exist in 7.2
BravoLima Posted - 14/03/2021 : 20:18:40
Is it correct that this feature is not implemented (has been removed) in version 7.2 and 7.2.1?
The modified airspace files (see below)

AC G or F or UNKNOWN
AN FIS DUTCHMIL 132.350
AH 0FT MSL
AL 0FT MSL
etc.

are not found after a long click on the screen.

I am afraid that multiple frequencies in one area are not possible.

In Germany* only one frequency is available for each FIS sector or regional A2A area.

The selection is made in 2 steps:
1. long click on the screen
2. Select the area and press the frequency button
Press Details for information about the other frequencies, provided they are listed in the area name.

*)In Germany there are also 2 national A2A frequencies.

Great, this sounds like it may be a solution. I guess I need to define an area that covers the whole the UK with the list of gliding frequencies. As long as this get attached to the airspace files when they are updated there's not much maintenance required.
I also assume I need to wait for the next LK8000 beta.
So when we do a long click anywhere on the map screen we will get the usual airspace info plus the gliding frequencies?
Clicking on one of the frequencies brings up the radio dialogue and confirming sets the required gliding frequency?

yes
BravoLima Posted - 03/07/2020 : 13:16:07
Awesome!
Should the lower limit "AL" also be 0FT MSL?

This solution could also be applied to the German FIS-sector airspacefile (see: DAeC website "Luftraumdaten").
The airspace classification and vertical dimensions must then first be adjusted.

Thanks!

Maybe we can prevent drawing if the airspace is defined at MSL with not vertical expansion. I must think about it.

If I had the skills I would have implemented a "no-outline & no-fill" option in the airspace color section as indicated above.
