Hi Folks!
I'm facing a strange Prob since the Upgrade to V7: the correct date of the iPaQ314 is chnaged by the Soft to the far Future (2099).
The former installed 6.0b didn't show this behaviour.
I'm using the Auto-Log-Function for Documentation of my Flights.
Any Ideas?

Just run another test on my iPAQ 314 running 7.1b, with 2 devices.
Holux GPSlim 236, connected by BT records correct date in RMC sentence 130619. This is what I used in flight.
iPAQ 314 internal records wrong date in RMC sentence 281099.
If you want to keep using the iPAQ I would suggest that you use another gps source with it, I found the Holux worked very well. The other big advantage is that the iPAQ gps gives very odd position errors at times, there were lots of postings about it on here 6/7 years ago. As an example I remember it showing a winch launch finishing 300m past the winch, and 700m to one side. Obviously not good on a task. If you can find a Holux it is small 65x45x20, light, can be fastened with velcro, and lasts for many hours on it's battery, and the BT connection is very stable.
Can't remember the firmware version, but I'm fairly certain that there has been only one update, many years ago, and my iPAq was updated at the time. |

after checking the log, i can confirm, this device is concerned by "GPS Week number rollover" problem
Date reported by GPS chip in it's RMC sentance is "27-10-99" instead of "13-06-19"

Bruno means NMEA file not igc. You need to tell LK8000 to record this in Config 2, this will then show the NMEA sentences. I have a spare iPAQ 314 with 7.1b installed, and having just checked, it shows the correct date, so it is not anything to do with the recent gps roll-over. |
