Posted - 13/12/2009 : 22:23:47 This year,in september, I fly in the France Alps, with water. I want to know at a certain height it is below 0 gr C. In the Duo Discus we had a temperature meter. I'm interested in the 'forecast temperature' in LK8000. I tested: - Config -> setup system -> 8 devices -> GPS alt offset = 1000m - Config -> setup basic -> max temp = 10 gr C - Configured at 'Infobox Aux' a button for 'forecast temperature', display as Maxtemp. - The displayed value is '---'. Is there a explanation why there is no value?
The Btemp value in the SYS menu says 34 gr C (inside it's 20gr C, at the moment). Where is the value Btemp based on? Nothing found on 'temperature' in XCSoar manual. |

I was thinking of a simple approach, without a probe: - config -> setup basic -> define 'Max temp' (forecast ground temp) - 'Forecast Air Temp' (shortname FAT) is calculated. - FAT temp = Max temp - (0,0065 * height). |
