I use LK8000 1.18 on two Windows 6 Devices:

#1: Sony Ericsson X1 Smartphone (Windows Mobile Professional 6.1, Display: 3" with 800x480 Pixel Resolution, ROM: 512 MB, RAM: 256 MB, 8GB SD-Card, CPU: Qualcomm MSM7200A with 528 MHz, CETree-SysMetrics-Benchmark: 434 Mips, 1.53 MFlops, Build-in-GPS)

#2: Mio Moov V735 PNA (Windows CE 6 with MioPocket 3.0 Rel. 57, Display: 7" with 800x480 Pixel Resolution, ROM: 1024 MB, RAM: 64 MB, 8GB SD-Card, CPU: Samsung S3C2443 with 600 MHz, CETree-SysMetrics-Benchmark: 508 Mips, 1.75 MFlops, Build-in-GPS)

On the Sony X1 it runs fine, but the Pixel are very tiny.

On the Mio the Shell MioPocket is designed für Windows CE 5 and most in MioPocket integrated Programs don't start, but a integrated Norton-Commander-Clone starts and this could run LK8000. I had to deactivate Airspace C because of display-flickering. I own the Mio only since two days, I am still testing and will report progress. But it looks good.

To install MioPocket, copy it to a SD-Card, copy MioAutoRun.exe and MioAutoRun.mscr and MortScript.exe to a new Folder Default and rename MioAutoRun.exe to auto.exe and MioAutoRun.mscr to auto.mscr.
Make a Reset, start, wait for the install and reboot, then it hangs, make another reset and then MioPocket starts und LK8000 can be started. Choose Com2 for the internal gps. gps fix takes one minute.

Greetings,
Aero
PS: Sorry for my bad English, is there anywhere a German LK8000-Forum?

I flew with the Mio Moov 500 for the first time on Saturday. While the contrast is not quite as high as the Mio C320 I think I prefer the bigger screen and will fly with it again. The Mio C320 screen is 4.3" (11cm) diagonal. The Mio Moov 500 screen is 4.7" (12cm) diagonal. This an increase in screen area of 17%.

Mino, go to http://www.gpspassion.com/forumsen/forum.asp?FORUM_ID=37 and search on "ipaq 314 miopocket". There is a lot of information there. Allan.

someone has made some direct experience with the union of these 2 things ... Ipaq 314 + MioPocket 3.0?

The MioPOcket3.0 readme.txt file says it'll run on an iPaq - check here: http://netfresco.com/MioPocket/MioPocket%20Readme.html

Allan
You know if MioPocket 3.0 works with Ipaq 314?
And if, in your opinion, does....
How do I install in Ipaq 314?
Thanks
Mino

I have been running LK8000 on a Mio C320 PNA/GPS since February 2009. The Mio C320 has a 4.3 inch screen and is probably one of the most bug free PNA unlocks there is. I use MioPocket 3.0 as the unlock http://netfresco.com/MioPocket/default.aspx You'll find a lot more stuff than you need with this software but it is solid and bug free. Once it is installed and running all you have to do is follow the instructions to install LK8000. Personally I just used "edit icon" to change two of the icons on the navigation page and point them at LK8000. I have everything installed on a 1GB SD card.

I also have a Mio Moov 500 which I have set up but have not flown with it yet. It has a 4.7 inch screen which is 17% bigger than the C320. I use the same unlock which has a minor bug in it with this PNA - basically if you use the Mio for road navigation you can only exit the program and get to LK8000 by turning off the machine and restarting it - not a big deal. This is something which I expect to have fixed soon.

GPS software running on these machines uses the LK8000 Generic info on commport 2 at 57600 baud.

Both of these PNAs require an external power source - don't count on more than an hour with the internal battery. I use my glider battery which appears to be depleted very little by the additional load. Allan.

Been trying LK8000 on various devices. Apart from the iPAQ 314, it works in SIM on my iPAQ 4700 (PPC 2003), but not on my iPAQ 3950 (PPC 2002). Great visual improvement over XCS on the 4700, everything much sharper.
