Have you considered adding LK8000 to the F-Droid repository? It would allow easy installation of the app on android devices that don't have access to google play: https://www.f-droid.org/en/docs/Inclusion_How-To/
Android devices without Google Play include those built by embargoed companies (like Huawei), some custom ROM, and some innovative devices (like the color e-ink HiSense A5).
The F-Droid repository is also appreciated by privacy concerned users, open source contributors, and it's not subject to Google's whims.
There's already a similar app whose metadata could be used as a template for inclusion:
