I have created a piece of software that exports tasks created in Condor soaring simulator to LK8000. Part of My application is based on an excellent Condor2nav created by Mateusz Pusz.

Condor2LK can be downloaded from:

I have tried this today, but the program doesn't like "normal" turn point with a radius, so the Lk8000 task file is basically empty - see below.

I got a "Unsupported Start Type Sector. Line sector will be used" message, but no actual turn points or start-finish lines.

[Just edited lines below with new output]
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<lk-task type="Default">
<options auto-advance="Auto">
<start type="line" radius="ERROR.000000"/>
<sector type="sector" Radius="ERROR.000000"/>
<rules>
<finish fai-height="false" min-height="0000"/>
<start max-height="ERROR000" max-height-margin="0" max-speed="138889" max-speed-margin="0" height-ref="ASL"/>
</waypoints>
</lk-task>

I tried this today, but the LK8000 task gave an error message about "old version", so it didn't work for me I'm afraid....

I think you should take another look.
As in real life You create a task in LK8000 and use it for navigation.
Same as Condor2, you create a task in the task menu and transfer it to your LK8000, with much more details available, then the internal PDA.
Condor 2 is also a perfect platform to learn how to use LK8000 and get familiar with it, whenever you want.The sun is always shining in Condor 2 :-)

Surely to get as near to real flying as possible, we use Condor to simulate the real world, which, last time I looked, didn't have turnpoints and tasks marked out on it, and a connected device running LK8000 to set out mark out the task and navigate round it. That's how we do it for real these days.

Condor has it own "PDA"... but very limited. You can stream NEAM to other devices and get more info.

I asked if he was going to add support to LK8000 .lkt and the developer sent me this link only: http://www.condorsoaring.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=17968&p=167175&hilit=lk8000#p167175

Ok, found the "bug". The program is "language" dependable. I changed the language from spanish to english on my computer, and tryied again, and now it exports the task from condor to lk just fine.

There is a difference on dots (.) and commas (,) on numbers between spanish and english. I think spanish uses (,) for decimal places and english uses (.).
