On my smartphone (Xiaomi Redmi note 11s, ROM MIUI13 Global based on Android12) I had multiple events in which starting LK8000, the Map file were not shown. With my surprise all files in the Maps folder disappeared. This does not happen on other smartphones I use to run LK8000 (e.g. Xiaomi Mi8). I suspect to have similar problems on my new XCNav display (Android based device). Here the Airspaces file seems to be automatically deleted. I'm not yet hundred percent sure about that, due to the limited experience till now. |

Hi, I had lost my maps aswell on Android 7.4.2.
I noticed that the app has moved location on the phone. It is now in Android/data/...beta... directory.
Maybe that helps? |

Hi Rogerwii, on my device org.lk8000.beta seems to be the only LK800's existing folder, so org.lk8000.beta/files/_Maps is the folder were the maps are stored and sometime deleted. Thanks for the suggestion. |

we never delete map files, so it's surprising !
on some device, using internal file explorer, new files could be visible only after device restart, it's depends how the file is created. |

Hi Brunotl, not only the files are not visible in the file explorer. The map, and the topography, are no more available when LK8000 has started. I can not explay how, but that's it. As I wrote in the first message, I suspect it happens to the airspces files (and not on the Maps files) on the XCNav Edition21 display too. Maybe there is something wrong in the Android OS. |

Hi All, just to let you know that after a full season, I can confirm that on some devices (e.g. Xiaomi Redmi Note 11s, and Xiaomi Mi8) .DEM and .LKM files are automatically deleted (by the OS I suppose) more or less each two weeks. The same does not happen on other devices (e.g. Xiaomi Mi5s, and LXNav Edition21).
Regards. |
