http://www.bware.it/LK8000/LK8000-310F-UPGRADE.ZIP
Sorry for long delay, we have been (all) quite calm at development, some of us in vacation, some other busy with family. So this is the latest effort. By tomorrow also 3.0d will be out as well, for non-betatesters.
LK8000 VERSION 3.1f 120726 ==========================
NEW
. Lx MiniMap alternate hardware key handling, and fix missing selection of modeltype Using customkeys bottom bar for hardware buttons: selecting (pressing) Minimap hardware buttons will result in using the customkeys assigned to the bottom bar. This is working only if the original MiniMap software version is not used, by now.
. Flarm objects traces: traffic is shown displaying recent traces in color.
. NEW SUPPORT FOR COMPASS C-PROBE by Bruno!
Add Compass C-Probe device -Alt Baro -IAS - TAS -3D Accelerometer -Air Temp -Relative humidity -3D Gyros -Magnetic compass
Add Device specific Status and Config Dialog For C-Probe you need Add "Device X Config" Kustom key in Custom menu for Calibrate C-Probe Device
Gyro is used in TRI if available
. New "Position" button in SIM mode PAN mode.
To reposition the aircraft in sim pan mode, simply change position by dragging the moving map, and when the center cross is where you want to position the aircraft, click on the "Position" new button on left top screen. The old behaviour was to long click on the moving map, but it was not working fine on PNAs, and it was inaccurate. Now that we have a smooth scrolling, it is better to use a button.
. Geo coordinates are shown on screen near to map scale, when using PAN mode in SIM mode.
FIXES
. Fix airspace critical loading bug on startup, crashing LK if a spurious line longer than 254 characters was found.
. It is possible to set a non-landable home WP via WP notes file
. Fix bug not handling a bad polar file been loaded. The polar was incorrectly loaded only from the first non-commented line, and if this was invalid it was nevertheless kept as valid. Result was a 0,0,0,0,0 polar of course. We now manage incorrect lines, and we enforce check for valid polar been loaded. In case of problems, the situation is reverted to Std Cirrus and a message is given to the user. Previously, no message was given in case of bad polar loaded.
. Accept Cup Waypoint with invalid altitude
. Bug fix in task start/finish lines A pilot using xcsoar software a few days ago reported a problem with the task startline not being accurate at the borders. It seems that the error depends on the fact that, as the pilot explains, the start line is not 90 degrees exactly to the target point. We assume the same can happen with the finish line. This patch is fixing the calculation of the angle, by applying the Great Circle convergency which was not taken into account.
. Fix problem in replay logger while dealing with position fixes in the IGC file having the same timestamp. It was causing an assertion failure.
. Fix strange dash line appearing in AAT task mode, removed.

Hi Bruno, If you have a compass and IAS from C probe and GPS can we get instant/straight line wind speed calculations? ie wind speed and direction without turning |

Yes, you right.
I work on it, but I have lot of problem with magnetic saturation of compass by my CE Device (V1)...
we need option for disabled in this case and i want to check in flight with other device before release this feature.

Does that mean the V1 has too much metal in it or creates a large magnetic field around it that causes errors in the C probe? EMI RFI?
Maybe a couple of layers of aluminium foil might around the back of the V1 might help

Have I got finger trouble or are the new resolutions not yet implemented in 3.1f?
If not, will they be available in 3.0d?

| I have reported a problem in General Support re Airspace Sideview Nearest. Checking the logger file dates, it appears that this happened with 3.1f. 3.1e was OK |

| Hold on this. I've now found that it has something to do with some very large areas (999 kms radius) of temporary military exercises. When these are disabled, everything goes back to normal. So I need to investigate further, to understand exactly what is happening. I think the change from e to f was a coincidence. |

| Fortunately, it turns out, not an LK8000 problem. It was caused by some peculiar Olympic "airspace" Notams, so unlikely to happen again. |
