Hello,

I am from the Netherlands and I am going to spend 1 week of my holiday on the most North Eastern tip of Lago di Garda. I have a Glider Pilot license and would like to use it to make a glider flight in Italy, I am having a little trouble finding fields close by though.

Could anyone, who was a little bit more knowledge of the Italian language recommend me some closeby glider fields where it is possible to rent a glider (type is not very important)?

Thanks in advance,
Jan-Jorrit van Arkel

Welcome!
You can find a clear map of all the italian gliding fields here: http://www.fivv.org/?page_id=81

The closer is maybe this:

Verona aeroporto Boscomantico
Associazione Volovelistica Scaligera
Viale Colombo, 131 - Verona

Dear Driver also in Trento is possible. (30 Km north of Torbole)
where ,if you want, there is Caproni Air Museum (old italian airplanes)
Trento is very close to the most beautifull montains in the world (Dolomiti).
please refer to Tellurico's link.

Best regards
Alberto
