Hi,
Weekend Tasksetting looks often like that. Lets fly till here (on the map) and its very hard to insert a waypoint, if someone didnt have the waypoint in the file. The GPS coordinates are nice but sometimes not available
it would be great to insert a waypoint via click on the map.
Seeyou has this feature and its really nice |

I would gladly add an easiest way to insert a waypoint if we then could declare the flight.. Since flight declaring from LK is very limited, it is pointless to facilitate waypoint insertion from the map. I usually need to copy waypoints from a seeyou task being declared to the logger (Colibri). To do that, either I use the tsk file or create new waypoints, sadly.
Maybe I'll spend some time on this in the future.

Hi,
for OLC-Flight, Declaration is not necessary. So waypoint insertion from the map would be really nice.

Do it in Seeyou desktop on your computer and add it to your waypoint file.. done in one minute or so... That is how I do it allready for ages... IMHO sdding waypoints on the PNA is just the very last resort.. if so, you have not done your flight preperation right!
Looking at the number of replies in two years.. I do not think there is a big demand for this feature.. |

Here is a little work arround: Start in Simulation mode. Use Pan Mode to place the glider to the desired position (long clik) Mark this location (MENUE-location marker) The marked position can be found in the waypoint list (Page 2.3) For future use the markers of the day can also be found under _waypoints\MKyyyymmdd.CUP (MK20120327.CUP = markers of 27th march 2012) These files can be selected as a second waypoint file e.g. for Task declarations. Once it is in a task you don't need this file anymore.
@cool, maybe we can use the pan long click in real mode for location marker? |

| no, we are going to remove long clicks everywhere after 3.2, and use menu buttons or another solution. long clicks are a pain, like gestures, during the flight. |

thank u alpha for that practical way to manage that on the field. on the fly it needs a bit strugling, but it will work too, if itīs really needed. |

Actually I did like the long clicks! for selecting waypoints in the list of 2.1.. or getting the orakel.. or more info about the airspace on the map. Gestures agreed..that is sometimes a pain.. because its often recognized as a click.. |

| I am using long clicks too, quite easily even in turbolence. I use my thumb, while the rest of the fingers are on the back of the PDA as a hold. And yes, gestures are not so good for flight for me too. |
