we don't know because nobody in dev teams have this device.

if i don't make mistake, Clara HD have removable internal µSD, so if someone want offert device, we can work on...

You can see insides in this video:
https://youtu.be/sxqVLnosNTI
She starts taking it apart at around 12:00
So, yes, it looks like it has removable internal SD, as per usual

Hi boys and girls,
I am looking for other fans of Kobo Clara HD willing to join me in providing a Clara for development team to work on.
Let me know (via email), and if enough of us get together, I will buy one and send it to the team.

and ps
it seems some people are already trying it with XCSoar:
http://gethighstayhigh.co.uk/kobo-self-build/

although (quote):
"...**Note that whilst XCSoar runs OK on the new Clara HD, there are two quirks: (i) first time in the screen is blank (but press the screen in the right place & menu options such as FLY & SIM still work) and (ii) EXPORT USB STORAGE does not work, so NICKEL is used instead..."

so there should be no reason why it couldn't be made to work with LK8000...

An update as promised...
Installed latest 6.1.r version of LK8000 and delighted to say that everything works fine.
No "quirks" as reported by XCSoar guys (see link in my earlier post).

Not flown it yet, but so far very happy (on SIM).
Still need to sort out GPS, case/holder etc.

ps we still need kobo clara HD for development team for it to be properly supported...

Fitted it with BlueFlyVario_TTL_GPS_v12 and soon discovered that LK was shutting down randomly.
Turned out, it was NOT kobo Clara HD problem, since the behaviour was the same on my old kobo Mini, which previously run perfectly with v11 of BlueFlyVario.
Full story here:
http://www.postfrontal.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=8840
All sorted out now and kobo Clara HD is running fine with BlueFlyVario_TTL_GPS_v12

Here it is next to the old kobo Mini:

Has anyone tried connecting a XC Tracer II to a Kobo Clara with USB cable? I have everthing connected, but cannot find the ttyACMO. I´m not sure what the problem is or what the right settings are.

No usb OTG kernel for kobo Clara, so you can't connect XCTracer to kobo Clara

for use LKNet, you need wifi, i don't know if wifi work in Kobo Clara,
we don't have Kobo Clara so we can't check anythings ...

for full support of device, we need device, and personaly i have simple rule :
i spend to much time on project for also spend money for device i don't use in flight.

so if any one want to offer device to dev team, it's welcome...

I just received a Clara HD, installed Bluefly v12 with all the same configuration (copy the _configuration folder)of my Aura 2ed. All seems to works but some buttons, mainly the top left ones, like the tap on the top left corner is not recognized also some top buttons seems to have the tap area a little displaced.

Maybe for the 300ppp vs the 210ppp of the Aura??
