Hi guys,

has anyone tried LK8000 on a Xiaomi Redmi Note or a Mi?

Does LK8000 makes use of the barometric sensor in Android phones? That could be a help to decide which one to buy.

LK is using the barometric sensor in Android phones.
I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 and it is showing baro altitude.
The phone has good specs and good visibility in sunlight conditions.

Do you think using barometric pressure is an important feature, or negligible?

With a barometric sensor you get height information within 2 km of the airfield position. I don't know if this also works with GPS altitude.

I wonder more if the barometric sensor would improve the Vario function. Altitude doesn't interest me too much, besides maybe determining QNH.
