In fact I cannot reproduce it, but freeze happens in various time of simulated flight no matter (it seems) what I do. Unfortunately I have no other Dell Streak for testing. (Perhaps someone can test another DS5.)
Now I have found the frozen Dell restarts after a while. This time it has happened when IGC was replayed via Logger Replay and I changed Overlays in Display menu.
(I have no such freezes and restarts with my DS5 and CM7 normally.) I send RUNTIME.log to your e-mail.
I have found that LK8000 crashing (and device reseting) on my Dell Streak 5 (CM7) is caused by automatic brightness. When I turn this option off I have no crashes and restarts. Is it possible to make any fix for that?

I notice you are very low on RAM memory (only 4 mega free) and using a custom polar file with no wing area. Can you please try using another polar file for discus2, and see if problem still exist?
update: checked on your runtime, you already had a crash using a standard discus polar. no reason to test . standby

Interesting behavior :-) I next version you will be able to fix orientation ( Auto,Landscape, Portrait, Inverse Landscape or Inverse Portrait ) so maybe this will solve the problem.

Just for information: Thanks to Tony it is now implenented on config page 22 |

Coming back to Skylines.Aero, someone said it is using HTTPS and therefore cannot work, but why is it than working properly in xcsoar? I would like to use Skylines.Aero for tracking because that website is so much better looking than Livetrack24.
I have tried to run xcsoar and LK8000 the same time and that seems to work fine on my Nexus 5X. So for now I will use xcsoar as the tracking app.
LK8000 will use an external GPS while xcsoar will use the internal GPS |

Ok.. I am not using XCSoar anymore...I hope you feel better now mr Coolwind :-)
In stead for tracking I use the very light and super simple Skylines Tracker app, which works again! Just make sure that in Settings 'Server Address Resolution' is set to 'FIX' instead of the default 'DNS'.. This way the correct IP address is used to locate the server. It uses the internal GPS, while the same time LK8000 is using the flarm via BT, so it doesn't bite eachother at all.

Hi Marco,
I had some initial problems getting glidertacking.org/hub to work too, but I found a very careful reading of the Manual helped, and I have the following suggestions.
Manual link https://glidertracker.org/hub/files/TrackingHub2.pdf
Read the section on "ADDRESS" very carefully - do you have a FLARM or other device, or are you using a mobile phone or only LK8000 to send the position data? This is where I had difficulty, but once I set my "ADDRESS" to a carefully chosen number and set the LK8000 User and Password parameters correctly, everything started working nicely for me.
- Don't try and make the Feed Configuration Active until all the settings are correct.
- You can ignore any error messages about SPOT or Skylines.aero if you don't have/use either)
- When everything has been saved and double checked, only then ACTIVATE the Feed.
Cheers John in Sunny Carnarvon - Western Australia |
