Hi Is there a way to change the glider symbol on the map? I fly with an HG but I think the big glider is much more readable in the map. If I change the Aircraft settings the choosing glider (with Hg polar) the symbol change but I think there are side effects of this. Regards
But you gave us a good suggestion for next improvement. Having more than a aircraft shape is something we are missing indeed. No big deal to make it. AlphaLima is The Man for this.
The little arrow in PG mode (possibly the same as in HG mode) is not very easy to read sometimes. So a change here could be welcome. It does not matter if we even use a glider/aircraft symbol, we know what kind of craft we are on board anyways :-)
Two problems today:
1. The blue triangle gets mixed up with the colour coded tracklog while thermalling (blue = sink)
2. When wind is calculated, the estimated difference between track and heading is not so easy to see from the direction this little triangle is pointing.
in which menu will you put this ? . The best one will be menu 11 ( appearence ) but it is full. Maybe menu 23 ( HP/PG) ? in Glider mode the symbol will always be a glider ?
The aircraft symbol for gliders must be reworked and probably we go back as it was in V5. But before any change, we are rescaling graphics (pixel sizes) for high resolutions, so please stand by ..
