| Is it general problem on the Kobo when program stay on the ground with no moving. I use Kobo with blue fly vario and when I put device on the ground with out shut down first Blue fly vario go to the sleep and after 5 minits I can wake up screen and turn blue fly vario and that is ok, if I stay 30 minutes on kobo screen stay frozen and I cant do nothing. I must reset with power button. and again turn on? |

Agree. Today after 2h in the air. Once I landed I found that I menu button is not reacting.
After some taps on the screen LK started to react with zoom in/out but MENU was not accessible still.
I did not cut the power, just let KOBO run till I pack my staff and after 5 minutes it was back running fine. |

I am afraid it is an hardware issue, discussed also in another thread.

I think. For Kobo is problem when is too small value in the Task Rule. Start max height 1-5 meter and small start Radius :)
Frozen screen happen when GPS lost and when LK8000 work com port restart :( |

During com port restart, lasting a few seconds, in FLY mode LK is on hold.
Com port restart = wait. If GPS data is lost (no gps signal, no data, very different from invalid fix) you have a problem because in FLY mode LK works only with a GPS giving a time. In this case, com port reset happens after about 40 seconds.
I try to set 3m max height in start task rules but nothing strange happens. What is the problem?

28.05.2016 I am install T version and LK8000 work like a drunk in the 4 flight he is frozen screen and IGC log name is LOST Very thermal activities flight. On the end of the day one soaring one short flight is OK. Always when he is been frozen on the screen is task WP message. Delete WP, Move WP ...
29.06 I flight with S version and in the flight all is OK only when I dont shut down LK8000 after flight and 30 minutes screen is frozen and I must to rebot him :) All track is OK.
Today I am install new fresh T version and tomorrow I am on the hills and I will testing him again in the flight.
Today I am testing him on the ground and one time when he record track he is frozen when I am stay 3 hours.
After that I am testing him without track with GPS source 1 hours and he is not frozen.
Tomorrow I will inform you :)

Well the only difference reasonably between version S and version T is that on the new version we are redirecting error messages on a file called LK8000/kobo/error.log . But, normally we dont have any message. Can you check?

can you check if "NMEA checksum" is enabled in device config ?
can you send all contents of directory "/LK8000/kobo" ? |

It happened to me again.
Yesterday after 1h in the air I found it did react only on zoom change. Menu, bottom panel and turnpoint field did not react.
At the same time LK changed routing to previous thermal so during the other 2h in the air I was able to see distance between thermals :)
There is no other problems were found. Speed, course and so on were pretty similar to LK installation on Holux.
After 10 minutes on the ground menu started to work again like nothing happened so I was able to close application via Exit menu.
