Using LK8000 v4.0b (on a Mio M400 or Oudie 2 Lite) task declarations to my EW microRecorder work correctly.
But if I use the newer LK8000 v5.0a (on Mio or Oudie) LK8000 reports declarations as successful, but they are "secretly" corrupted.
The declarations (in file "EW-USER.txt") are always like this: - Start and Finish match my intended declaration - TP’s are those from the last successful declaration (i.e. done with v4.0b) - Finish and Land match my intended declaration The intended TP's are all lost.
EXAMPLE ===================================================================================
FLIGHT DECLARATION -------------------
Description: Declaration Take Off LatLong: 5226449N00102816W HUSbndsBswrt Start LatLon: 5226449N00102816W HUSbndsBswrt TP LatLon: 5216066N00023583E NMT Newmarkt TP LatLon: 5228733N00054583W MAH MrktHrbr TP LatLon: 5212583N00015700W STN St Neots TP LatLon: 0000000N00000000E TURN POINT TP LatLon: 0000000N00000000E TURN POINT TP LatLon: 0000000N00000000E TURN POINT TP LatLon: 0000000N00000000E TURN POINT TP LatLon: 0000000N00000000E TURN POINT TP LatLon: 0000000N00000000E TURN POINT TP LatLon: 0000000N00000000E TURN POINT Finish LatLon: 5226449N00102816W HUSbndsBswrt Land LatLon: 5226449N00102816W HUSbndsBswrt
========================================================================================= NMT, MAH and STN appear in all following declaration with only the Start, Take off, Finish and Land changing. At first I did not realise Start, Take off, Finish and Land were changing since my base is always HUS. =========================================================================================
Is this specific to the EW, or more general? If specific to the EW then I assume there must be some change between v4.0b and v5.0a that the EW does not like. Does anyone else have this problem?
For the moment I need to fly with version 4 or make paper declarations to an Official Observer. Is there a fix please?
Other Info ==========
On the Mio-EW setup I use a cable supplied by Glider Tools. On the Oudie-EW setup I use the Oudie supplied cable - with the non-standard EW specified plug connections into the microRecorder. For both set-ups the GPS data from the EW (including barometric altitude) is received OK by LK8000.

First time we hear about this problem. But without an EW to test on, it is hard to check. I shall have a look though. |
