I am not the expert on this but I think the XCSOAR guys had to create a modified kernel to support USB-OTG on the standard USB port in the Kobo Mini.

For the last few flights I have had problems with screen refresh on my Kobo/LK8000.
This does not happen in Sim Replay mode.
Is there a bit of code to do a complete screen refresh occasionally for the Kobo version?

Are you using the latest version? What date is shown on the startup screen?

I use a black bottom bar, if I accidently get an info page (all black boxes with numbers) and return to a normal map page the bottom bar is mostly white and unreadable. It stays that way until restart. And it wasn't all that cold either.

Can you try to use this version: http://goo.gl/iLQ4Zn

Did you invert colors? Glider > Screen Views > Invert Text

If you are using Nimbus is a good idea to update the packages to compile Kobo builds.

git clone -b master https://github.com/LK8000/LK8000.git kobo
cd kobo
cd Scripts
sudo ./arm-tool-install.sh

Searching for that line in the source code: https://github.com/brunotl/LK8000/blob/master/Common/Source/Calc/McReady.cpp, I can see this: BUGSTOP_LKASSERT(thesinkrate>0); and it might related to this issue: https://github.com/LK8000/LK8000/issues/633

but I can be completely wrong...

You are right Sergio. We have to trace the problem, because we dont know why it happens elsewhere.
The sinkrate cannot be positive. We do manage the problem by applying a correction, so you can safely remove the LKASSERT.
But the problem still exists somewhere else. This is why we have the warning.
I will try to figure out what is the reason asap.

I have redesigned the portrait mode pages.
We can now enlarge the text as we want, at the cost of having fewer items listed per page.
This is an example of new 600x800 (kobo). Eventually I can make it much much bigger. I have no kobo to test on right now for some more days.
OLD and NEW version

cloudsun, what is the wing loading you are setting? Do you use Basic settings ? when is the lk assert failure happening? What is the configuration hardware you are using?
Please answer to all of these questions.

Thanks Coolwind,
Yes it was settings, but I have already deleted LK8000 folder and started from scratch. I cannot recall the settings but might arrive there again.
The error happened at press centre screen to begin, device was powered on but locked from then on.
Configured for paraglider EN C, but actual settings now lost.
