In an article in Sailplane and Gliding it says, "If you use Flarm on your Oudie, LX9000, or LK8000, set the colour of aircraft above you to blue, green for below, and red for those at a similar height". Have I missed something? |

No Dave, you haven't! In LK the glider color code is fixed to the climb rate. It was the devekopers decision that LK is not intended as warning instrument (but tactical assistant). For this reason LK does not give any sound on traffic warnings. For collision avoidance you need a dedicated devices. To monitor the height differences we have a diagrann on the traffic Multimap. However, coloring on height differences could be made optional if many users request this. |
