I have just upgraded my panel to Flarm Lxnav S7 IOIO Android phone an found that xcsoar won't sent RMB (turnpoint) messages to the S7 while LK8000 will. You can't get arrival height at a turnpoint on the S7 without this. Both will send the task to flarm (but only with the flarm display disconnected) and xcsoar will download traces from the flarm. Will LK8000? I can't find anything in the manual.

Hi Basil, not entirely sure what you are asking, but I don't think LK8000 will "download" files from the Flarm. What it does do is save it's own (non-secure) igc file. My setup is Swiss Flarm connected to an Ilec SN10B, which in turn is connected to a V2 running LK8000. The Ilec passes the data stream from the Flarm straight through, and adds some data of it's own. Re saving the igc file, it is obviously saved in the Flarm (igc approved), it is saved in the Ilec, though I've never bothered to download, and it is saved in LK8000, though LK8000 does not save the Flarm specific sentences. So for instance, you cannot use an LK8000 igc file in the Flarm range analyser, that data is not saved.
