Just a few comments, obviously though another great job. Difficult to understand why anyone uses anything else. I had a look at TopHat out of curiosity, but quickly gave up. 6.1f does seem to take a bit longer to load on the V2 than 6.1e. At a guess 20 secs. As an upgrade do all the folders need to be included? If everything is copied, you will have to at least re-configure, because empty folder will overwrite you existing Airspace etc. Do we need more that the executables and the System folder in order to upgrade? I think we used to upgrade with just the executable. Not entirely convinced that the new features need to be included in the INFO. You can't look at that and try the changes, unless you have a better memory than mine. I need to be able to look at the changes somewhere else, whilst checking them out in the program. Which of course is what I've done, copied them into a Word doc.

In addition to the message from Dave. After comparing the old and new LK8000 folder I think I have some "leftovers" from previous installations. Can you tell me if these files are of any importance: - aygshell.dll - imgdecmp.dll.CE6 - LKRUN-PNA.exe - note_prj.dll In other words, can I safely delete these files? |

Copied this in from General Support thread started by BravoLima. There is something seriously wrong with 6.1f. I had only tried it in Sim, but trying Fly it does exactly what you say, exits LK8000 at the Sarting Devices, and goes back to the V2 Start screen. This is last bit of Runtime, . Register serial devices [000237961] . ComCheck Init [000237981] . Device A is <Internal> Port=internal [000238006] GPSID : DeviceState: 0, ServiceState: 1 [000238018] GPSID : DrvPrefix; [000238035] GPSID : MxPrefix COM4: [000238047] GPSID : Name: [000238063] . ComPort 1 ReadThread : started [000238118] GPSID : DeviceState: 1, ServiceState: 1
I also added that the Android version seems to be OK, but these problems are both with V2s that ran perfectly on 6.1e

Why removing the files on the PNA? NO. aygshell.dll - imgdecmp.dll.CE6 - LKRUN-PNA.exe - note_prj.dll
LKRUN is used to restart LK automatically on PNA. The other files may be necessary by auxiliary software you may need. Do not remove things.
Next upgrade version will be as the one we made in the last 7 years, containing only files needed for upgrade. Current 6.1f is dead broken as an upgrade very sorry.

6.1 is a beta. A beta is not reliable. 6.1f is less reliable than normal and full of problems on all platforms except apparently android. So I have removed the link to 6.1F .

Dell Streak issue. My opinion, not Bruno's: we should not support this platform. It is non-existent on the market since YEARS. It is currently working with a non-official OS since the original version was using Android 1. Why people use such hardware nowadays and why should we spend our (free) time on this matters? |

I was under the assumption that the files were left over from previous installations. Right now I still use v6.0b for PC and V2 and use the beta version 6.1f only on my Android phone. I want to thank the LK-development team for the tireless efforts to continue the development of this excellent product. Pity that this last version did not fully met all expectations. |

I think many glider pilots use Dell Streak 5 also at present due to its transflective display with excelent sunlight readability. I had been waiting for LK8000 Android version just because DS5. http://max.kellermann.name/download/xcsoar/screenshots/oudie_vs_streak.jpg F. |
