Yes, all sounds (or nearly all ?) are here: https://github.com/LK8000/LK8000/tree/master/Common/Distribution/LK8000/_System/_Sounds
And nearly all are used...
But you can make it simple with few sounds, this is the interest of the configuration file.

Note that I think the actual version can't send sounds by bluetooth communication, but it's just a mistake from me, and I will correct it very soon!

I just implemented my sound commands in the newest BlueFly firmware. See this blog post for more information about the command: http://blueflyvario.blogspot.com.au/2015/08/more-bluefly-and-xcsoar-integration.html. If anyone has a LK8000 + BlueFly setup could you test it.

Nice work Alistaire,

I can confirm, just flashed 10.m07 - 23 Aug 15.
I have placed sounds_table.txt in config folder
I have set use external sounds in the device config page for the bluefly

I edited the sounds_table file and added BSD 392 100 784 100 392 100 784 100 for the drop marker sound and then ran LK8000 latest version and dropped a marker and hey presto, I got a tone.

There may be a glitch in that you can't turn sounds off using the button on the unit, but this is academic now as we need sounds on all the time for warnings but I would like to be able to use the button to turn the Vario tones off and on as I use an external vario as my main source for that.

I am testing the sniffer so I used to just turn Bluefly sounds on when I wanted to use it by pressing the button.

Great work, the last hurdle before LK8000 on the kobo is probably the best combination to date.

Now all we need to do is invent sounds using FlyingAl's code.

Mike.

I fixed the bug with the button. See the support page for the updated firmware and the blog post for a description of the changes.

Thanks for your quick testing.

Excellent, just tested.

Button turns on/off vario tone but alarms are still active when vario turned off.

Thanks flying Al.

Ok I'm now trying to populate the sounds table but I'm not sure what all the sounds are connected to. For example, I've added a tune to connect and disconnect (all three, stock,v2 and v3) but the tune only plays when disconnecting. I could do with someone telling me what all the sounds are for.

Thanks,

Mike.

About sounds used by Bluefly vario
My device : Kobo touch, LK8000 in French, BFV V10 firmware 10.M08

I identified this as the action of turning pages in LK 8000
I added to file SOUND_TABLE.TXT
MM0=BSD 784 100 392 100 ' sound for Main Page is diffent when you turn to it
MM1=BSD 392 100 784 100
MM2=BSD 392 100 784 100
MM3=BSD 392 100 784 100
MM4=BSD 392 100 784 100
MM5=BSD 392 100 784 100
MM6=BSD 392 100 784 100

I placed this for Airspaces alert :

LK_AIRSPACEV3=BSD 392 200 784 200 392 200 900 200
LK_AIRSPACE=BSD 392 200 784 200 392 200 900 200

It seems to work ( CAR test this morning )
I had sound alerts + inbox messages

Thks
