Hi, Carrying my paraglider around, I broke the Vertica2 (generic) USB female connector. Can't get someone to fix it, as they say it's not a std connector, trail damaged as well. Anyone can help me where to find it ?
Ask the producer for a complete PCB (with or without GPS) It happened here in Italy too,no way to replace it (remember it has 10 pins). The price from Korea was about 100USD
Hi I have broken my USB port just like you as I used a straight USB connector. The lesson here is to use a 90deg connector as it is more robust. As a paraglider pilot I only use the USB port for an external battery supply and for charging the onboard battery. My solution after failing to re-solder a new 10pin USB in place was to cut the wires from the internal battery and connect to the external LiPo battery which has its own charging circuit. The only other practical solution is to replace the circuit board.
The 10 pin usb are available from China but from your pics that is beyond repair as you have torn the PCB tracks away. New PCB if you want it like new.
