Is it possible to set LK8000 to show the waypoint-code on the map instead of the sometimes very very very long mapfilling waypoint-name?

Why not use the ICAO 4-letter airfield designators and a 5-letter name for glider/parasailsites? These short-names will keep the mapping clean and it's much easier if you want to check your LK8000-tasking on an ICAO/Jeppesen Aeronautical Chart.

You can limit the number of character or disable the lables in Setup Page 3.
If you want the ICAO labels you can prepare the waypoint file with ICAO code instad of waypoint names.
But anyway, with V3.1x the ICAO code will be displayed on high zoom levels (vector airfields)
