Hello all,
Last year my friend Bert Schmelzer jr was flying at your gliderclub with the Discus 2A.As you all know by now the Schmelzer family is not the averidge when it's about soaring.So Bert brother Tijl made earlyer this year a 1000km flight from Belgium to...Biarritz.Yesterday he did it again!,a 1000 km flight in the flat country with a Ventus 2cxt.This time he used different thermal options as you can read in his report: http://www.scribd.com/doc/97134912/Cloud-Making-Machines
They are working on this idea for years now,and as a team they achive the goals.
Annyway,even in the flatlands and airspace limitations like we have here in the Belgium area (just look to the maps of Tijls presentation) gliderpilots here are showing fantastic things!
