autozoom is a nice feature. I like to fly with it. But sometimes I need for a short time a more detailed view and choose the according zoom level or I want to see more then the overview.
BUT .... after my first zoom click
.... immediately autozoom mode is gone :-(
Suggestion for a different behaviour of autozoom: ------------------------------------------------- Autozoom mode has actively to be enabled/disabled (in principle already in the programm) and can not be disabled by a manual zoom click. If a manual zoom change is detected autozoom switches the zoom level back to the zoom value before the manual intervention after a distinct time interval (parameter, 1 minute ?)
I like the idea to re-enable autozoom after a while. Than, there is no need for a message disabling/enabling Auto zoom anymore. I think that would be much more intuitive. People not liking it may disable autozoom in the setup or use a custom key for it.
I like how it is now. I am able to specify maximum zoom out level after which Auto Zoom will not zoom out the map (consider a TP 150km from you - unusable). When I want to zoom in manually in many cases I do not want the map to zoom out again after a minute. I have a custom Auto Zoom button to reenable the feature. The feature is compatible with Auto MC that also disables when fiddled manually. Should MC return to Auto mode after 1 minute too?
The handling of autozoom is not consistent in the moment. If I choose autozoom means I really want autozoom until I disable it by hand explicitly.
Possiblity -1- could be, as I suggested, to switch back after a distinct time,
possiblity -2- could be to stay in the manually selected zoom level until the next autozoom activity is regularly required e.g. a zoom-in according to an approach of a waypoint and after passing the waypoint to switch back to the previously manually selected zoom level.
This would also meet yours Matheuz and would work more consistent.
