Using a Holux 130 in either portrait or landscape mode, I am unable to get backlight to auto-dim. LK8000 set to Auto Brightness, and various combinations of hardware brightness settings have not worked. Backlighting stays on during flight, shortening battery life. |

If you're talking about "Auto Backlight" on 22 of the setup, it means that LK sets it to full brightness at programm start. So turn it off! |

No bug. Holux 130 brightness cannot be controlled by LK8000. You can do that manually, and anytime, by pressing the sidekey.
Please read the 130 manual, or ask your reseller.

I have the same problem. The Help of 'Auto backlight' on page 22 specifically says it works with the Funtrek and should switch off after 5 min of full brightness...? But nothing happens: it stays on all the time.
When the auto backlight is set in de Funtrek settings, LK8000 seems to switch that to manual mode. So something happens... but not the right thing.
To make it even worse: LK8000 seems to block the 'backlight off after X minute' setting from the Funtrek software (which works with XCSoar....sorry to say...;-)). Edit: the Funtrek software does seem to work after some fiddling...
So, the LK8000 backlight saving doesn't work, and it also blocks the internal Funtrek powersaving. I seem to remember it did work in a previous version...?? Or am I (doing something) wrong?

Hmmm.... screen stays on all the time again.... Something is wrong with the power saving settings...
Who knows what causes/triggers this? |
