I own a V1 too and I'm very happy with it. Some questions.
1. Is there a way for adding .exe in the V1 desktop (icon to launch a specific application saved in the Internal Flash memory)??
2. I was wondering if MIO Pocket 4.0 http://www.gpspassion.com/forumsen/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=136798 could runs on V1. Anybody tried this?
3. Since I run iGo Primo navigator on V1, I'd love to set the TMC too. What's the port/speed for TMC (traffic informations)?
Thanks Enrico

Grande Sérgio!!! I write you in PVT.
V1 Just landed from a very local flight to test V1: in one word EXCELLENT! One of my best buy. The picture doesn't give the great visibility of the V1, wich is absolutely different from any other display I've ever tried before.
BATTERY I used an external 11600 mAh battery and I discovered a courious thing: on certain gliders if I feed the GPS (any GPS) with 1 Ampère otput, the battery interfer to the radio onborad (not all radios, only some); but if I feed the GPS with 2 Ampère output the disturb on the radio disappear.
The Yoobao 11.600 mAh

The V1 in direct sun (AS W24 in Aosta)

Hi Paolo,
Yes, I'm sure.
With 1A I get noise (squelch-like) on some radios (not all). With 2A I never get noise.
I simply tested the problem switching the cable from 1A to 2A.
BTW, on V1 should I run LK8000-PPC2003.exe or LK8000-PNA.exe (since both run)? THX

Hi Guys,
I received my V1 in the post a couple of weeks ago and after having a thorough play with it I must say I’m very impressed. My previous units have all been cheap Chinese unbranded PNAs which have performed poorly in everything but dull conditions when I’m flying. A couple of flights in full sunlight has shown the V1 to be fully readable in nearly all light conditions with the exception of maybe the sun directly perpendicular to the device, which in a glider never happens as the device is angled towards your face.
I managed to get a side by side comparison this weekend with an original Oudie and a Dell Streak. I took a couple of pictures below to illustrate the differences. The Oudie was very poor in comparison and became unreadable when not shielded from the sun with your hand. I’m sure the recently announced brighter screen Oudie will perform comparably with the V1 but at twice the cost for what seems to be identical hardware I will be sticking with my V1.

TiGuy82, is that the miopocket desktop you installed on the V1? If so, can you tell us how you did so - and if the rotate screen function works?
Thanks |

| The V1 does not have TMC, but you can use an external TMC device (search for Wayteq RTA-3000 TMC). |
