Hi
does anyone know how to enable Bluetooth on the 61CS?
(For one I would like to connect to a Vario via a Serial-Bluetooth Adapter with SPP. But also connect a BT-Headset when riding the Motorcycle ;-)

Is there already news from HOLUX about the battery charging problem? I'm using a 5v/2a wallcharger (HAMA) and the miniUSB connector under the batterycover. I have the standard 1050mAh battery in place. In the powermenu (setup) main battery is showing 100% and level good. When trying to power up without the charger the unit fails to switch on. |

I have here 5 (five) 61CS units, one is mine, 4 are for my friends. These units are powered without the cradle-adaptor. I made an hole in the back cover, and I am powering them with a MiniUSB charger using a 12V car plug adapter. It is exactly the same powering approach we have used for 3 years now (MIO400, HP314 etc), and the same cables. The 61 does recharge perfectly with its original battery.
The fake 2450mA battery mentioned in this thread is dangerous, and I would never ever use it in flight. The idea of bypassing the lipo thermal check with a resistor is terribly dangerous. You risk the lipo to burn up during flight, putting the airplane on fire . Everybody know how dangerous it is to overcharge a lipo: if not, have a look on youtube.

Ok, that is nice to know. But I don't use a fake battery. I'm trying to charge the standard Holux battery with a 5v/2a wallcharger without any tricks. |

Yes. Power properties: 1. External good 2. Backup batteries a blue disc with a white + sign 3. Percentage of power left in main batteries 100% When I remove the charger it switches off and I'm unable to start on battery power. What is going wrong? |

Start the 61, with power charger and battery inside. Then disconnect the power charger. Does the 61 remains swtiched on, on his battery, or not? This is an important information! |

So the battery is gone. By the way, those using the WolfGear desktop interface, very nice, should be awared of the fact that this component will not let the operating system install the FONTS for LK8000 properly, and thus the fonts in use will not be correct. |

Hi rotor,
this looks like the problem I had. My battery was dead ... I managed to "charge" it with a external smartphone charger. Many hours of charging gave a runtime of half a second Get another battery, genuine nokia is good qualitiy but needs modification. Or another Holux battery from wolf, but let check him if it works before.
Display in device settings is only able to show voltage. Even a dead battery can have normal voltage if connected to charger. So it would be not strange to read 100%. Even a connected voltage meter would show normal voltage ... But capacity gives runtime, so when runtime is zero, capacity is zero. -> dead battery
Another possibility is a failure in GPS device itself but I bet it is only a fautly battery.

headset is possible to connect by UART/TTL interface,
But is it: (as mentioned on other sites?)
HSP (Headset Profile)
A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile)
Headset: He asked for a BT headset. You say headset, meaning a wired headset?
edit: I have searched the internet. http://www.yupiteru.co.jp/products/atlas/mcn43si/spec.html so the driver must be there to. |
