Well I received one of these from Vladimir a few days ago.
It is really an integrated vario, working perfectly and in my PNA did not need power supply once started. Very small, very very small.
Another hit from GliderTools I think.
A review shall follow as soon as possible..

This is really very interesting, thanks for sharing.
In order to use this little tool, can LK be changed in the future to provide vario sound?
TIA

cool.. I wonder how the sensor works, because it is so small! and probably half of it is the RS232 serial port.

The baro and vario works perfectly. The vario is integrated to some seconds, and can be tuned.. but Vlad must explain these things.

Looks really promising! V1 + GT Vario I think is the best option for the 2012 season!!

can do this with arduino + BMP085
il you use smd and put it both side of one board (with professionnal manufacturer) you can have something this size.
Some one writed a thread for something like that few days/week ago (fly-one topic?). You just have to add mathematical integration and go for it.
well done.

very much like the project GoFlyPico without vario sound...

if the refresh rate of the NMEA sentence is quite fast, i can consider adding the vario sound in LK, I am currently testing with a probe that has provided a NMEA sentence 10Hz and in future with other at 20Hz ...
coolwind as the words, the real problem the total latency of the system, if we can not solve this problem, the project GoFly remains for me the best solution ( and i put my test project into trash... ),

everything, it is always interesting to have the baro altitude, and this device looks really good for that!

Hello rimaroc88, brunotl and all other!

These projects have in common only one thing. BMP085 sensor. Probably nothing better is available.
Used technology is different. Arduino is not my favorite and is too bulky for my purposes.
Inspiration - probably like everyone else - I drew from the website www.sparkfun.com

of course, when i said arduino i think the atmel microchip or something else. You dont need any boot loader or FTDI chips on your stuff so it can be smaller.
Rimaroc.

Hi All,
there is a real alternative of BMP085, check digital pressure sensor modules at www.intersema.ch
I use MS5801, which is obsoleted now, but it is fast and precise.
Best,
Kalman

Which version will work with Holux 61cs? The regular PNA or Wayteq?

None, because the holux does not have miniUSB serial. It has a real normal rs232 on 4 wires.

I have to say this looks really good; I might invest in one myself and like TiGuy said for PG use might be a great combination with the V1.

It means that we have to solder miniUSB to a db9? And no change to charge and use GT Vario at the same time?

It means that on 61CS there is no miniUsb with rs232 so you cannot use the GT.
