Thanks so much Paul for you patience and everyone for your help. Thanks also to Fink here in Mexico for promoting the LK and his help.

Ok, as in the intructions, I set up the com port to COM 2, that took care of the com problem, then I changed the baud rate to 9600 and tryied with 57600 also, now the problem is that the program after some seconds, freezes and nothing in the screen works so I have to hard reset the unit. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?.

The GPS utililities in the mio pocket indicates that the interna gps is in com 2 at 4800 baud and MNEA protocol, is this correct?

Thanks in advance.

TiGuy82, Does this difference have to do with the GPS engine?

For those who want to have a music player running while using LK8000.

- Install GliderTools unlock
- Update to the V2
- Download this file: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=IIHG763F
- Extract the folders to the root of your MIO and overwrite all the files and folder requested.

Have fun! :)

Im using the miopocket, since this was the only unlock that worked for reasons I dont understand, I changed the com port to com 2 and the baud rate to 4800 since this is what one of the tools in the mio pocket aplication informed, and actualy it was working ok, but I whent to fly to another lace 70 km south, I dont know if this has anything to do or changing the waypoints the simulator mode works ok but after about 8 seconds everything freezes and have to reset the m400 on the top buttom. I run the lk8000 from the CE commander.

Hello,

WOW, 1st impact: I love LK8000 on Mio Moov 4000, even if the internal GPS is not as sensible as my "old" BT receiver.
Anyway.

1. With unlock 2.0 (http://store.glidertools.com/m400_lk8000_2..zip) I can't see "EXIT" button in menu 2 of MioMap; what's wrong?
2. I'm nearly planning to try iGo Primo on M400; did anyone ever tested it?

1) Unfortunately, some vession of Miomap not have any exit button :(
2) If exist file \My Flash Disk\iGO8\iGO8.exe, then button "MIO" on the main unlock menu will run iGO :)

THX Vlad: I'm trying asap with iGo Primo; I'm changing some settings in sys.txt to match the data.zip.

BTW I simply set the path for iGo/Primo in Mio.mscr; it works great!

LK 8000 FREEZING --- Ok, I have tried now all the possible combinations of baud rates, and the thing keeps freezing. Some times it freezes just after a few seconds and sometimes after a minute or so, so I can't move the settings in the fly mode, only in the sim mode, will this affect in the the fly mode? I get the dialog: GPS: No valid data fix and a "ding" sound, after that it freezes.

The configuration that seems to work the best is:

Device A:
Name Generic
Port COM2
Baudrate 4800 8bit

Device B:
Name Generic
Port COM1
Baudrate 4800 8bit

PLEASE! HELP!

Paul: I`read teh manual, I don`t know what I'm doing wrong!

On mine: (If you only have one GPS device connected to LK, you should configure it on Device A and B!!)

Device A
Name: Generic
Port: Com2
Baudrate: 57600 8bit

Device B
Name: Generic
Port: Com2
Baudrate: 57600 8bit

Serial Mode: Normal
NMEA Checksum: Enabled

Did you modify that file on your MIO? As I told you before?
