I've used the mio_moov_unlock recommended by Coolwind but then modified it a bit.

After unlocking M400 I kept it connected to my PC, renamed FileManCE.exe to FileManCEold.exe.
On my PC downloaded and unzipped MioPocket (good for unlocking but way too many files, programs etc).
From it's mioautorun/programs folder I copied TotalCommander (cecmd.exe) to my Mio (Mio device/ Program Files/Unlock, there I renamed "cecmd.exe" to FileManCE.exe (to use existing scripts).

Now any time I start my Mio's desktop I have cecmd instead of filemance. It works better and allows for mods right on the Mio.
If you have one window of cecmd in Mio device/Program Files/Unlock/Desktop and the other cecmd window in whatever program directory you want all you have to do is click on that program (say LK8000.exe) and from file menu (top right) select "create shortcut" to have a nice LK8000 icon put on your Mio desktop.

While you're at it copy "restart.exe", "rotate.exe" and what ever programs you think you might need from the list of programs in extracted MioPocket folder to your Mio, create desktop shortcuts and enjoy.
Some (most) programs from MioPocket don't work. My guess is the .dll files that are needed are not where they should be...

Could use someone's help as to where those should be copied to.

Hope it helps someone.

I think the best advantage of MioPocket is an ActiveSync connection with PC. It helps a lot with Condor integration that many of us use for LK8000 validation during the winter season. It allows fast data copy from PC to PNA and using PC as power source at the same time. I never had problems with corrupted files while using ActiveSync, which is the case for USB exteranal data storage interface. If any of Unlocks created by you will support ActiveSync I will be happy to switch MioPocket to it ;-)

The iGO8 script is working OK ;)

I hope you can add the rotate/restart buttons. I think the rotate application that comes with the LK8000 is not the best one because it keeps rotating the screen. Would be great to find one with 0º and 90º option only

Hello friends!

Today I release first final version of my MIO400 unlock, version 1.0.
What`s new?

- Volume settings
- Device restart
- System keyboard on and off
- Device manager (This is a very useful feature that shows you, what serial ports on your device are available)

Screens on the new version looks like as follows:
Main unlock page:

Settings page:

Enjoy the new version. I'll be happy for any feedback

Hi Vadimir,
I have installed V1.0 and it works apart from one thing: You say in your Readme.txt

"To MioMap menu is added "exit" button (page 2 of menu). When using MioMap, you can press this button to exit MioMap, and return to the unlock main screen."

This does not appear at all. Am I missing something?

Rgds,
John

Hi John!
There are four versions of Mio. Each version uses a different exe file / location.

Mireo - \My Flash Disk\Program Files\MioMap\MioMap.exe
Navman - \My Flash Disk\Program Files\Navman\SmartST_CE\SmartST_CE.exe
Spirit - \My Flash Disk\Program Files\MioMap\spirit.ini
DigiWalker - \My Flash Disk\MIOMAP\MIOMAP\MioMap.exe

I know, that the exit button does not create in the "Navman" version
Please refer to the file \My Flash Disk\Visual\Visual.ini what version you have. This information can be found in the section [System] as "InstType"

Hi ,
For Mio version Navman - \My Flash Disk\Program Files\Navman\SmartST_CE\SmartST_CE.exe
I find a way to exit Miomap without reset.
In folder \Program Files\Navman\SmartST_CE\UserData ,
==>edit "Default setting.xml" (with notepad).

in section
quote:

<!-- ===================================================================== -->
<!-- MAP DISPLAY SETTINGS -->
<!-- ===================================================================== -->
<property name="display skin name" value="ui\sky_wqvga_mio\sky_wqvga_mio.dll"></property>
<property name="display skin switching enabled" value="false"></property>

Change false by true like this:
<property name="display skin switching enabled" value="true"></property>

save and restart

In mio
Main menu 2/3
preferences 1/3
click on screen icon .

An right arrow > appears at down right corner.
If you click this arrow , Miomap shutdown and return to Main menu of GT navigator.

I don't think it's a good solution , but it works.

Dany

This unlock works pretty well on a 405, a friend of mine has tested it. This unlock has everything you need it.

I just added this unlock on the LK8000's website Links section :)

I would like to have the battery status on the main page of the unlock... because it's the only way to know what is the battery status and I usually don't fly with power supply! :)

Just received my M400 I bought via Ebay... took my 5 Minutes to get everything running! I'm really impressed! State of the art avionics for 40 Euros :-). Thanks to everyone who contributed, I hope I can do so myself in the future!
