Dave, My unlock was released for tests. Is not done. Unlock was developed based on VisualGPS unlock, with the consent of its author, Daniel Lanik. Contains MANY parts that must be removed, but so far I have not had time for it. I promise to look at it.

Meantime I tried to test the functionality with LK8000 and MIO togehther, as I wrote in the first sentence of the first post.
Thank for understanding, Vladimir

Hi,

Yesterday, after considering both the Mio_Moov_Unlock and the MIO M400 - LK800 unlock, I decided to use the former, due to its simplicty. I have a brand new MIO Moov R403 and am happy to report that both the unlock and LK8000 work fine in it.

I also followed Paulo' instructions to set up the GPS with Orion:

"You need to set the orion software from control panel to Orion GPS service: start
Orion gps navigation OFF (OFF!)
GPS subpanel: Start orion service ON and NO Start GPS."

It worked perfectly as indicated by Paulo. Now my problem is that when I run the MIOMAP app, the GPS doesn't start. How do I have to set up the GPS in Orion before running MIOMAP?

Regards

Miguel

I am using Mio_Moov_Unlock on my M400. It will run LK8000 and MioMap 2009.
The Orion GPS Service in the "General" tab is set to "Stop".
I have 7 satellites acquired in LK8000 and 8 in MioMap 2009.

I promised to reduce the size of my unlok, and now fulfilling my promise.
Size of new unlok is 8.5 MB (4.6 MB without LK8000).
I also updated the installation instructions, and will try to create some howto video.
No problem with satelites

Allan,

Thanks for the comment. What is your Orion setup in the following:

1) General tab:
a) Orion GPS Service: on or off?
b) Orion GPS Navigation: off, sleep or on?

2) GPS tab:
a) Start Orion Service: Checked of unchecked?
b) Start GPS: checked or unchecked?

Finally, did you modify your "\Program Files\Navman\SmartST_CE\UserData\device_settings.ini" file as described in (9th posting from the top by jlder):

Miguel,
1) General tab:
a) Orion GPS Service: "Stop"
b) Orion GPS navigation: "Off" - when you set the GPS service to stop this button will automatically set to "Off" with a red button beside it to the left.

When the Orion GPS Service is set to "Stop" - there are no other tabs! At the bottom of the "General" tab there will be the message "GPS service stopped"

I hope this helps - if not then I believe there may be a difference beteween the US and European models of the M400.

You can plug a variometer using COM port, like Flymaster F1.

This Unlock doesn't work on mine M400 that I bought in USA.

I have to find out where the problem, I already check some differences...

My MIO has NavMan instead of MioMap

Today I will spend some time modifying the unlock to work on mine M400. Or I will use the simple unlock recommended by Paolo

What TiGuy82 says is definitely true.
I would like to ask for help. If someone can send me a complete FlashDisk image of the MIO, what sold in the U.S.
Please compress the contents of the MIO flash-drive into a zip or rar file. Because the map files are large, leave in the zip package only one, smalest map.
Obtained. zip file then save to rapidshare or other similar services and then send me a private message with link to this file via email-poster here on the forum.
Thank for cooperation.
Vladimir

Thank you TiGuy82!
I downloaded this file, it's okay.
I look at it as soon and fix my unlock, so that it work properly with MioMap and with Navman too. I believe it will succeed on this weekend.

Done!
The current version (0.2) of the unlock should work just as well with the European version (Mireo), and the U.S. version (Navman) of MIO M400.
Probably will also work with versions "DigiWalker" and "Spirit".
Thank for help to TiGuy82 and Dany. Without them it would be more difficult.
