I just wanted to let everyone know that Vladmir at Glidertools.com made me a cable for the Cambridge 302 to use with the Mio M400. He sent it via post from Czech Rep. to Hawaii usa. Only took 15 days to make it half way around the world. Using his unlock posted here and info he sent I had it working right away. He also makes a cable for the Condor Soaring sim.
Vladmir makes quality parts.

I managed to get it working ok. Problem is the C250 'forgets' time and date settings everytime there is a restart (it resets to some day back in 2006).
Other than that, it is ok.
Can't remember how I did it (long time ago) but I followed some tips on a spanish forum - http://foro.todopocketpc.com - about installing tomtom. This way I could access WinCE explorer-like menu and start LK on the SD-card

i bought it and i installed lk 8000 on it using the same instruction of mio m 400..

I am thinking of getting a Mio Navman 470. Can anyone advise whether it is equivalent to a "Mio 400" and whether the program kindly posted by Vladimir (30th Octobe 2010 page4) called M400_LK8000_UNLOCK.zip will work with the Navman 470?
If the answer is "Yes" does one also still run the "Update for LK8000 version 2" (dated Fri, 28 Jan 2011 00:09 UTC and called "http://store.glidertools.com/m400_lk8000_2.x.zip".

Hi guys,
I tried to install Vladimir's unlock on my Mio Spirit 480.
It doesn't work. I don't know if it's a problem of .ini configuration or something else.
I have a Navman folder and not a MioMap folder.
By the way, have you left the string "ProcessFile=\\..\\My Flash Disk\\Visual.auto\\auto.exe" on the appstartupsec.ini file? I tried different configurations but without success.
Any suggestions please?

Hi,
I'm unlocking the MIO Spirit 485 for the moment with VisualGPS MIO (google it) and I managed to run LK8000 with GPS set to COM2 |

It works fine except the creation of the shortcut for LK8000-PNA.
The shortcut did not work because it contained only :
25#"\My Flash Disk\LK8000\\"
I have changed the content as followed with a text editor on my PC :
25#"\My Flash Disk\LK8000\LK8000-PNA.exe"
After copy in the folder \Mio Device\Program Files\Unlock\Desktop the shortcut works and launches LK8000 properly.
I will test it in flight next week end if weather permits ...

I have the same problem with the same device MIO M610 and I can not get the shortcut to work on the PNA. How did you do that? Can you tell me more about this. Did you rename it?quote:

Hi,
The shortcut is created in the folder \Mio Device\LK8000
Copy this shortcut on your PC et modify if with a text editor.
After copy the modified file in the folder \Mio Device\Program Files\Unlock\Desktop and normally the icon works and launches LK8000 properly.
