Because I prefer to not use terrain, we fly so slow that we will see the same spot for long time... so I prefer to see topology. That's why I put this hint: http://www.postfrontal.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=3014

And because the zoom range for paragliders are different from gliders mode and also for the empty map color! ;)

You should use Nav by Baro altitude with flymaster and whenever a baro altimeter is available..

We can remove MC setting from Cruise, Thermal etc, since MC is now abaliable on screen.

In Cruise and Final I am currently using

1.Speed Dolphin
2.Home distance
3.Next ETE
4.Task distance
5.Task arrival altitude

For thermalling, Thermal last 30 sec can be omitted, since this is also on screen now. Suggestion:

1.Thermal Gain (or Average thermal strength)
2.Home distance
3.Next ETE
4.Task distance
5.Task arrival altitude

Number 6-8 is not visible in the navbox of my device, only in fullscreen infopages, so i have no suggestion at the moment.

When infoboxes for vertical and horisontal distance to airspace are avaliable, i will prioritise these :-)
Probably i will use vertical distance in Thermalling mode, and horisontal distance in Cruise/Final

TiGuy82, I was checking on your para/hang gliding configurations, and nottice that you removed the terrain because you prefer not to use it... I think that you could hide terrain from the display to get the same effect, but without loosing some nice features of lk that work with terrain, such as having a final glide without obstacles and things like that that rely mainly on the terrain info.

So think again about removing the terrain from the xmc file and maybe it`s better to have it lying hiding on the software calculations...

The terrain information is used. It just doesn't display the terrain.

4. Terrain
Terrain display: Off

Try to simulate a flight and you will see that the "Glide Terrain line: Shade" is working, at least!

Where are you putting the waypoints? You have to put inside of the _Waypoints folder

They have to be .DAT (WinPilot) format, in a future LK8000 will support CompeGPS waypoints.

Ok, I have tried to insert in Waypoints menu. Is this only one way to insert waypoints to programme?
