Has anyone connected an XC Tracer to Android phone running LK8000 yet?
I am trying with Yotaphone 2, XC Tracer 2 and LK8000 6.1f.

BT:XCTRACER or a BT:address

Main thing is to be very patient waiting for LK to respond. Also helps to start XCT first.

Thanks for the info on the settings. It's working fine now. Yes it connects better when you let XCTracer find its GPS fix then start LK8000. Thanks to the development team for their hard work, its great having LK8000 on Android

Can someone please share the settings they use to connect XCTracer 2 to LK8000 Android.

Both the settings in LK8000 & the XCTracer settings.

I'm having trouble getting them to connect to each other.

I confirm, XC Tracer 2 works perfectly.

The vario bar moves instantly, no delay between XC Tracer's sound and display !!

Could you think to implement a vario filter on vario bar or vario numbers ? It goes too fast now !!

XCTracer II and LK8000 android talking nicely to each other now. Tested on 3:35hr 90km flight, perfect on Yotaphone2.

Might it be easier to enable OTG? This would be good because XCT 2 also supplies power through USB.

Sandman, I do not have any problems with XC Tracer 1 and LK8000 on android or other platforms. Use the "XCTRACER" protocol, set it up in the xctracer.txt file (and set gps forward =OFF), and also choose this protocol in LK8000 device setup. I did pair XC Tracer bluetooth in Android, outside of LK8000.

But regarding XC Tracer 2 I do not know.
cloudsun9 Posted - 26/05/2017 : 12:50:05
Yes, working for xcsoar, but that is not entirely satisfactory ;-)
sandman Posted - 26/05/2017 : 07:33:14
I have an XCTracer 1, and a Wayteq x995 PNA. The XCtracer connects and works with XCSoar, XCTrack and many other app, but the not with LK8000. The connection is different. The ususal method is: "Please do not make the BLE pairing in iOS or Android, make the pairing in the app!" But for LK8000 you have to connect it in Android and then the appeared "BT:XCtracer" in LK8000. So it's succeeded to connect, but only the GPS data is coming over.
