I'm new HP310 owner and I just notice that I need to use the stylus pen or use the wheel to open LK8000 and because I use gloves to fly, I decide to make an unlock for HP31x with the help of Osprey (from GPSPassion forum) using one that was available on the internet.

LK8000, Navigator (HP Nav or iGO8), Bluetooth, File manager, Taskbar, Restart, Off

You just need to un-zip it to the SD Card root:

You must have the LK8000 folder on the root of your SD Card because most of the buttons are linked to the \SDMMC\LK8000\_SYSTEM\_CEUTILITIES

Does it run iGo8?
Yes, You just need to have iGo8 on your SD Card on the folder iGo8, the unlock detects if you have iGo8 or not.

Why the Bluetooth button only work once?
Because after you open it and return to the unlock menu, you have to access to it using the bluetooth taskbar icon (Bluetooth Manager)

You need to put the LK8000 folder on the SDCard root.

The LK8000 folde is on the SDCard root. In case there is some other problem with the items on the SDCard root, I posted a screen shot of the SDCard root directory. You can see it here:

I am running Version 3.0d of LK8000.

Can I send you some other screenshots that might make it easier to diagnose the issue. I can photograph the iPaq screen to show the files on it if that would help.

You need to put the LK8000 folder on the SDCard root.

What version of LK8000 do you have on your SD Card? If everything is working expect the LK8000 is maybe because you don't use the same LK8000 file I use.

LK8000FLY.mscr & LK8000SIM.mscr tells you what is the path for the Fly and Sim file (LaunchPad\Shortcuts\):

FLY file:

SIM File:

Kill, closes the Unlock Menu
Runwait, opens the software
Run, re-opens the unlock menu after the Runwait software is closed

Neither one of the icons takes you directly into the LK8000 program in either fly or sim mode. They take you to the main splash screen where you then choose fly or sim. Is that how it is supposed to work? It is a bit nit picky but it would be nice if it just launched directly into the fly or sim mode. On the other hand it may be necessary sometimes to see the splash screen so maybe this method is better? What was your intention originally?

When I did this unlock, we had two version of LK8000, one to fly and one to simulate. I can change that and upload a new version.

I just installed this great interface. Works fine with one small problem. I have two identical FLY icons and two identical Navigator icons. Only one of each of the other icons. Any idea how to get rid of the extra icons. Both FLY icons take me to the main start page for LK 8000 where you choose either fly or simulate.

Thank you for this excellent front end ! It makes life so much easier on my 314, so I can now switch between LK8000 and iGO easily.

For me happens the same thing once in a while, I hard reset (with pen stylus) and then start working again

The only problem, which doesn't matter, at least to me, is that if you go to car navigation from the button, you cannot set time, date. Didn't try any other settings. Works fine if you take the SD card out. I don't use the iPAQ in the car anyway, the Galileo with iGO is much easier to use, and the Galileo is useless in the glider (can't see it).

If you want "16:41:38" instead of "4:41:38 PM" change "Format = h':'mm':'ss tt" to "Format = H':'mm':'ss" in the mainpage.ini file.

Try this:

1 - Reset HP310 with the pen stylus
2 - Open LK8000, go to System Setup > 22 System: Device Model: HP31x and Use GPS Time: ON, > 9 Units : UTC Offset: (confirm that you have the right one)
3 - Wait for GPS Fix, exit LK8000 when you get it.

Use iGo8 to fix the time! :)

I don't really have a question related to the unlock which works great. I don't know how it happened but the time on my HP314 is wrong and there is no way I can or are allowed to change it. I searched some forums where I found other people with the same problem only no real solution. Anybody?

Thanks, it worked.
