Hi everyone,
After trying a bit SeeYou navigator and XCsoar to see how they would compare to LK8000, I can say
that LK8000 still stands out for its functionnalities and its usability in the air! Infomap in particular is really a great
tool to always keep an eye on security information, landout, target… Many thanks to all developpers/commiters here :)

The only thing I think is better (especially in Navigator) is the map/terrain readability in mountains area. When I look at the
map in Navigator I instantly understand valleys, differences of height in mountains, passes...
I've spent some times trying to find the best settings in LK8000 to improve this point but I could not find a really better result.
I've tried the color schema, adding/removing shades, level lines… but with no luck.

Do you think it's something that could be improved ? I'm not sure it's only a question of having a better colorschema, is it ?

For reference, a screenshot from seeyou navigator:

You'll see the effect while moving the position. The auto contrast adjusts the contrast to the max./min elevation arround your current position, turning it off the colors stay fixed as they are defined in Config Page 4 "Terrain Colors",
So turning off Auto Contrast and changing the Terrain Colors to "YouSee" should be more likely your desired map display.

Hello @AlphaLima,
I've tried to play with "Auto Contrast" ON/OFF and also settings "Terrain" and "Brightness", but in fact it had no real effect on the map displayed

Did I miss something ?

Hi,
have you tried to turn off "Auto Contrast" in Config Page 4 "Terrain Display?
