Hi dev team!
I already reported this to Alphalime via a personal email, but for tracking purposes I post it here as well.
configuration:
Red box flarm connected to the LXNAV S80
LXNAV S80 connected to Android LK8000 version 6.1R via Bluetooth on Nokia 8 smartphone updated to the latest security patch for Android 8.1.
Two way communication with S80 and red box confirmed(S80 receives new waypoints when changing waypoint on LK8000, MC can be adjusted manually, Task can be declared into the red box using the task declaration routine in LK8000)
When setting the wind calculation to "external" LK8000 does not show any wind indication, while the S80 does show wind data.
driver that is used LXV7_EXP
Also tried with my old Glider Guider PDA (Windows Mobile 6) but also no external wind, also used LXV7_EXP as the driver.
Should I use another driver to get wind data? (there are a few)
Runtime logs regretably not available, because I have been flying with zigzag as wind calculation method the last few weeks. Will generate new logs next week and post them here when available. |

External wind works fine in 7.1B! I have not tried the stable version yet, but I suppose it should work there as well. |

I updated the S80 to version 7.03 today, will try external wind tomorrow.. will let you know what happened. |

Hi all
according to the last firmware release:
Version 6.45
added task edit/save/delete/export
multiselect .cup files
added NMEA settings (choose NMEA sentences type)
added navbox altitude gain in thermal
added flarm configuration
added airspace warnings
added admin mode
added posibility to change red cursor style
added navigate to nearest point
added wind on PDA and BT port
added waypoint elevation
PDA improvements for second seat
bugfixes and stability improvements
even the wind shold be sent out from the vario (in the NMEA sentence the wind is called LXWP0)

S80 and all LX1600 compatible do not send wind via NMEA.
=> Not a problem of LK8000, |
